Have (kind of) corrected the clickbait, inaccurate thread title

Better title, as before I had to resist going pedantic about losing something one never had in the first place.
it's the opposite of authoritarian. Language isn't determined by a single person or authority. It's shaped by the way it's used by the majority of people who speak it. That's why modern english isn't the same as old english or middle english. or victorian english etc.
in more frequent evolution, it becomes common for products that are well known for their name to be synonymous with the product (kleenex, kling wrap, post-it, etc). Lego is what people will (and do-mostly) refer to as a singular block. Multiple blocks are then referred to as legos. It's too easy and makes too much logical sense in the language for this not to evolve that way. No matter how much the company tries training people to not make that connection so they dont lose control over the name.
I don't know what all the fuss is about, the sharehlolders will advise how they should line their pockets better. With tencent having their finger in the pie, ensures the real market is covered and nothing else matters.
I would definitely pay for a 3d printed Viper 4 or a Lakon trucker cap, and I'm not a merch kind of person. Not sure why FD haven't put more effort into their merch.
I dont think the tail (tencent) will be wagging the dog... Not with such a minor share holding....
