Would this affect Horizons too, just to check?
If so it's a definite boon for Pleiades folk on all platforms =) Thanks very much for the heads-up and details!

Morning!! Real quick! Grimscrub!
I told you something silly yesterday in response to your question, when actually yes, the server update from yesterday should in fact have everything all good for Pleiades folk (on all platforms!). Whew! Apologies for that! Have a super day!

Good morning, and sorry for a 7am ping @sallymorganmoore - i got one at 3:39 if it helps x) but, it seems like non-human signal sources and distress calls in horizons are fixed up on all platforms, from at least a dozen separate reports on discord - which is awesome and thank you very much to everyone who was on that!!

Sadly it seems it was just barely too late far as the Sirius Inc, BGS folk though from that megaship, second issue tracker post - they got retreated from Delphi, with Aegis Research taking control of all their assets - both starports and a half dozen settlements with the odyssey ones included. So... it'll take a month or two of wars, after an expansion if they want to get everything back again.

Sorry to instantly be jumping on a next query but, is there anything that could be done for them at all?
I'm not really a bgs person, way more active on the AX side but, they'd been so freakin understanding and diplomatic during all this, I'd hate if they suffered the most out of everyone from something that wasn't in any way their fault, and they were actively trying to prevent.
I don't know if that's possible or how scary the BGS machine is but, had to at least ask.

Thank you again though, to you and all the qa/dev folk who've been on that. it's rescued the AX situ on three platforms, and at least Massively reduced the risk of anyone else suffering that situation both now and in future.

SPOILERS ON THE FIRST NOTE, GRIMSCRUB! HAHAHA!! STEALING MY THUNDER ;) You'll see more on that later in the day too, just as confirmation.
I've not quite started my day properly yet (need coffee and collecting my head together haha), but I'll get back to you and more convsersations had since last here later in the morning :)

Hi Sally, please don't take this the wrong way, but I find it somewhat concerning the apparent surprise that Megaship Looting is broken, given that is has been for years, has been raised multiple times, and has multiple tickets raised over the years.

It really raises questions to me about what other long standing and well reported issues have been overlooked over the years?

I'm glad to see you taking these issues on, and trying to get something done about them.
Seconding this - it's great if Sally can get it brought to people's attention within FDev again, but before Odyssey released it was the second-highest voted issue [1] on the issue tracker already (only behind this Powerplay bug https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/19523 which I guess people will also want fixing), it was a regression of something which had previously worked, and it had regular forum threads about it - that's the sort of bug report which shouldn't need the personal attention of a Community Manager for Frontier to recognise the importance of a fix.

[1] It's now down to 8th, so still on the first page.

Problems like this in the past are normally left as is.

It seems to be much faster than the in-ship combat rank so I guess it can. I just unlocked Warrior rank and I don't feel like it's going too slow or too fast.
My concern is rather the difficulty level right now. Even High CZs are not challenging for me so I don't feel like playing much more to progress higher in the ranks, but I hope we will get some more challenging stuff rather sooner than later.
I killed roughly 300 people or so and barely made it to the second rank. :p

Thirding this! :)

Hi Sally, thanks for looping back so quickly.

Logged it a couple of days ago: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/39858

I'm having trouble loading that issue to check it for some reason, but I mentioned the system location. I just checked at the populated system where I am currently (Synuefe EN-H d11-96), and the issue is still present for me five minutes ago.
@sallymorganmoore I can confirm this issue as well. And issue tracker seems to broken right now (getting "The issue could not be loaded." for any reported issue).

Yay for Pyjama MS Teams Meetings 1st thing in the morning - everyone bleary eyed and needing / enjoying that 1st coffee!!!

I am having the same issue I am normaly at 60fps with the gpu useage at 100% (Nvidia 3090) but when I go to settlements it drops to ~50% so my frame rate tanks to like 10 FPS then flickers around 30-60. Cpu usage normal.
I noticed a similar phenomenon with a much lower spec system (i7 4790k / gtx 1080).

Also I'm sorry Sally but this is part of why you see such exasperation among players. They know there are over 27000 issues on the tracker and when one prominent issue that has been highlighted and even got to the dizzying heights of visibilty of the top 10 issues can go unnoticed it does sort of tend to y'know erode one's faith that any of the others will ever be seen and acted upon.
However you are here now and doing immense work in listening to us so for that we are enormously thankful!

Also the issue tracker is still down.

Yep, this is very true and I think the CM team see this.

I am very sorry to be cynical here but - it tends to feel like the dev team do a little bit of "cherry picking" when it comes to bug fixes.
I see quite a few bug fixes for things that are either minor, seem to not really matter very much, or I've just never heard of in the patch notes. They also seem to look suspiciously like the kinds of bugs that would be "easy" to fix (quotes because easy is a silly term in game dev) compared to various others.

I get it, I do the same thing.... but it is kind of a bad habit to get into.

Commanders!!! | Regarding 'Restoration Mission' "Rarity".

I'm noticing a few of you mentioning that the number of Restoration Missions is feeling a little on the rare side since the update.
We do have a ticket we're following here:
To share a little insight - at least part of this is caused by fixes to other floating issues (such as ensuring factions don't ask you to restore power to their competitors' settlements) and we're investigating as to whether there are any other causes for fewer than expected support missions.

What would be ULTRA helpful for me is if more of you do feel that these missions are too scarse and it's causing an issue, would any Commanders mind sharing the number of support missions available when you DO find any (especially when you haven't picked any up), as well as a date/time and the system you are in at the time as additional info for the case in the issue being tracked above, please?

I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!
This issue https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/39821 will no longer load for me. Wanders off grumbling about the state of the issue tracker

Sweet! At some point, will "Minor Wreckage" be different from a single SLF stuck in the ground and surrounded by an odd assortment of narcotics, personal weapons and the odd escape pod?

:D S
You are asking for them to make more than one asset for this!?!?!?!

Wow, you ask a lot there buddy.

Sarcasm off:

Yes, I was.... quite surprised, to see how few wrecked ships there were, I think I have only seen the eagle, though I suspect there may be one or two more.

I would expect them to make at LEAST one crash site of each ship type, which can be automatically modified by the engine to make it look like a different crash each time anyway.

But preferably, about five base versions for each ship type - then some coded modifications to those.

It reminds me of release of the original game when, ALL assassination missions put you against an anaconda, every time.

It confuses me how this "is fine" to er... the... producer? game director? I dunno who would ultimately sign it off.
