Oh yes they always make a lot of surprises... but not the nice ones...I'm another who has no interest in legs. I really enjoy FP games, but it's not why I play elite.
Maybe FD will surprise me.

What about "NO"?At this point they should really delay the release by another year to bring in all the features listed as "not at launch"...
Is it time for another open letter already?
Once a year sounds a good frequency for such events...

Why don't they launch what they've got now, then in a year's time add the parts that are not at launch? What's the difference? At this point they should really delay the release by another year to bring in all the features listed as "not at launch"...

What's the point in walking around your ship, when you can do everything in the cockpit?I for one will be highly disappointed if space legs don't include at least walking around ships. For Real Frontier, do you guys even play Elite Dangerous?
Although I cant change the clock time on my cooker, it cant be that hard to just make 40 simple ship interiors, all different, with cupboards to look in?I think some here are forgetting there is nearly 40 ships in the game that would need to be fully modelled because you can sure as hell bet there would be a stream of forum tears if they just procedurally generated interiors and they all looked the same internally.
Also many of these ships are quite large and would require a lot of developer time to work on.
This could be in the ship interiors, a cooker and new gameplay is to set the right time.Cooker clocks exists just to mock people, I mean who even keeps a bloody cooker on all the time anyway.
Cant wait for the "SC has fish tanks why not Elite" threads.
To each their own I guess. Your set up sounds sweet, however I wouldn't swap. That said you also get to experience ED in a way most dont. And I dare say your set up will cost far more than playing on a VR headset so will be harder to get than VRI can unequivocally disagree with this assessment because I have tried the VR thing. Many hours doing many different activities, and just the feel of having the headset strapped to my head is enough to break my immersion. That said, I also built an enclosed cockpit, have Virpil throttle and stick, Crosswind foot pedals, 38" ultrawide display that fills the entire front of my vision with additional displays around me for various utilities and tools. For me, my setup is far more immersive.
We may as well have the "at launch" ones a year early, in that case.At this point they should really delay the release by another year to bring in all the features listed as "not at launch"...

Imagine the first salty thread when someone is ganked going from the stairs to the cockpit.
Tell you what would be good gameplay though. You're in the ships hold, ground floor, there's this woman at the top, some interstellar princess, and you have to rescue her, so you're running up all these ramps and ladders to get to her but there's this massive Thargoid gorilla, throwing barrels down at you as you try to get up.
We should ask the guys not to forget: the game is about space. Legs or no legs it all comes to the wastnes of space, the immense world they created. That is what I thank them for! I started it in 1998. Just pixelated green lines in those days. And now? We fligh into real looking stations we see suns and planets, we even can land on them. So ask them to focus on these things and don't try to emulate crap like StarWars And others. I'm looking forward everyday to my time in space. Thank you Frontier.I'm another who has no interest in legs. I really enjoy FP games, but it's not why I play elite.

Maybe we should get rid of planets and stations, if all its about is space, maybe we should just fly in space to nowhere as we can't do anything that takes us away from the vastness of space can we.We should ask the guys not to forget: the game is about space. Commander Tauntongerd.
Most of it does. All the ships have plenty of space.I wonder if the problem with ship interiors is in fact the opposite - that our ships dont have much insides - there isnt much space high enough to walk around in even on an anaconda. Existing animations of landing gear already result in some embarrassing clipping etc. Basically the ships are too small to have realistic interiors for all the stuff we might expect inside of them. Inside a sidey - how much of it has 6 ft headroom?
