"This is a large project of using Box art to gat a good concept for a ship in Elite Dangerous "Panther Clipper" i played this game twenty years ago and this ship is a iconic peace from the game. this allowed my to run some animation concepts for future product design. One of the important factors was to try and keep a purist form from frontier and modernise it. not sure if I did but i am sure in the comments it will become clear if I did or not."​

That's a nice reimaging of the old Panther. The front profile retains the old look while the top profile makes it look sleeker.

That is a beautiful reworking of the old Panther! Gorgeous lines. The engines rotating make me think of a Harrier jump jet!

I would love to be able to buy that one in game....

It isn't completely terrible IMO, but that dreadful bird tail has to go!

I was thinking if we ever get the Panther Clipper, we would need an external shipyard and some form of AI cargo transfer ship, as it would be immensely large. It would never fit through the letterbox.

That is a seriously cool rendition, love it!

A very nice visualisation - just wonder what size hardpoint that turret might be... possibly stolen from the station gunners?

I think way back it was known to have a large gun able to destroy ships with only a few shots.

I guess this will be different in ED, I suspect it will be heavily focused on defence.

Plus an SLF bay or 2.

Yeah they will be cargo module space, your call if you want to swap space for SLF.

It would come in handy trying to repair stations, supplying them with stuff

Front looks spot on, side wings and tail just look wrong though. Also undercarriage slightly too big/long.

That said, it's a tremendous effort and you have sparked endless "Panther Clipper" threads no doubt - Again!

Nice modelling but one small problem - wouldn't the forward two engines melt the rear two engines when in forward flight?

It was like that originally I believe.

Perhaps they'd reimagine them as legs only?

Or only enable the rear set enabled for forward flight (all for landing) and have additional thrusters on the rear of the ship.
