Is it just me, or does look Archer like an corporate working mate from the 2020s you meet in the office to a rubbish bingo meeting in the next 10 minutes?

1000 years later I expected a different and at least more elaborate designed style.

Probably the AI generating the picture wasn't fed with more precise information and requirements?View attachment 406422
He looks very much to me like the chap who played Bel Riose in Foundation

Looks like Kevin Costner

Sorry, did I understand correctly, now playing an open game and being in the Power, you don't have to pay insurance for your ship if YOU get killed by another commander?

From what I have read yes:

-100% reduced rebuy when killed by
ship pledged to another power in
territory your Power does not control

-100% reduced rebuy
when killed in your Power's Territory

So free if you are destroyed in you powers territory, also free if you are destroyed by another powers ship outside your powers territory, but not if they aren't pledged to any power outside your powers territory, or, presumably from that wording, if they are pledged to the same power outside your powers territory.

With the caveat that you don't get the 100% bonuses right away, but you progress the % you get off your rebuy over your 1-100 Ranks journey.

I don't think that artwork is AI generated. All the other portraits have a similar style.

I can't find where it's written :(
I understood correctly, as long as you are a beginner you don't know how to fly and you don't have much money and can be easily killed you get full insurance.
And when you learn to play, you have a lot of money and you are difficult to kill, then your insurance is 0 ?

I'm not quite following you.
I have only written about the territory and other commanders, but there is no inscription about what these commanders belong to.

No. When you join powerplay you don't get any bonus. You earn in gradually from none to 100% (and many other rewards) by climbing the ranks.

If you scroll through the rewards and highlight each one it tells you the increments. Look for the star icon (IIRC) to see when perks get uprated.

That's kind of how I figured it out.
Newbie - needs to pay for insurance - pays for insurance in full.
Veteran - who doesn't care about insurance - doesn't pay for insurance.
I.e. in the beginning as I enter the service I fly only in single game, as soon as I reach rank 100 I can fly in open game.

What makes you think only new players join Powerplay? Or are you under the impression that experienced players join at Rank 100 already?

I know what you mean.
It's just that if a newcomer comes to me with a question about joining the Force, I'll answer it:
Either you fly long and gain experience outside the Force,
Or you join the Force and only fly solo until you reach rank.
I don't think I'll be approached by experienced players.
When I started playing in 2015, I had no experience or money and was very worried about insurance. Now it doesn't really affect my choice of game mode.
