Elite: Dangerous Role Playing Game

Heck, I thought all this business had been put to bed ages ago. I can only imagine what it must be like to spend so many years being a fun sponge.

Very frustrating for all the EDRPG team, I hope that this gets sorted quickly and painlessly with no impact on the creative output that you've all worked so hard on. Best wishes :)

Its a frustration that this could also cause people cold feet with the project as well. Hopefully we will get a public comment from FDev as well.

So this guy Ian Bell bailed on Elite during the 80's because he found Eastern Mysticism? Perhaps thinking lightening wouldn't strike twice. Decades later and jealous this anti Semite (have you seen his rantings?) is looking for a quick payday from a project he wanted nothing more to do with. He could have been on board with this from day one yet opted out. Now he sees the huge success and wants a piece of the pie. Does his legacy really want to be that of the man who stifled the fans? bad move Mr Bell.

Careful Mr Bell you might have attracted the attention of Mr Smart. I wait with anticipation and popcorn of course, for Derek's opinion on this.

I'm now in touch with Jon and Oliver and have shared some of my relevant experience with them.

As you may imagine, we (me or them) can't post in detail here at the moment.

I have to admit - I have been watching this kickstarter with interest trying to decide to back it or not.

When the kickstart come back online - will the timescale be extended ?

I have been told by KS that the campaign is just in a cryogenic freeze - suspended animation. When this is resolved there will still be four days left.

I spoke to Frontier this morning and they are now trying to contact KS. Let's just hope KS are as quick to realise that this is all malicious as they were to suspend our KS.

Got in there first Shadow Dancer :)

The address where they are registered https://idox.cambridge.gov.uk/onlin...ils.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=001KXE00LI000 and company website http://www.interface.co.uk/
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/02002436

Seems the CEO of Human Computer Interfaces has let a husband and wife use his address to do this. They don't seem to be related to Ian Bell. Seems like malicious trolling to me.

Could this CEO be the same Dr. David Johnson-Davies who was once Managing Director of Acorn's software division, and Chris Jordan, former chief editor of Acornsoft, who were both intimately involved with the development of the original Elite? Could it also be the same Chris Jordan who is believed to have bought (some of) Ian Bell's rights to the original Elite?

Just saying ;)
