the ones you pay a subscription for?
Nope, pay2play too. Don't know about free2play, I no longer play any of those. I exclusively play games now that are buy once and then use the cash shop whenever I think the game deserves it. I never played subscription based games, I'd feel too much forced to play for not letting my subscription to waste. The irony in all that is that I've probably left more money in some games' cash shop than a subscription based game would have cost me, one of them is ED.....

I noticed over the weekend that I was getting a lot of laggy instructions - the most notable besides the mauve adders being serious delays between hitting the launch button and actually being able to take off. If this has solved this issue then huzzah!

Same, when they said servers were going offline, my game turned 100% stable and I'm now fighting in some on foot warzones lol
interesting!
I wonder how that relates to the 2 servers that are constantly synchronized because of the 2 galaxies?

One is off and the game runs smooth like milk? Oo maybe THIS is the bottleneck for many?

Ie. there's a free online World game with Tanks, where when servers have a hiccup, players sometimes get one or more Premium days for free. Would be nice to see something like that in a payed game like ED as well.
I agree, when Elite offers a Paid-Premium service like World Of Tanks I hope they'll offer free Premium days in recompense for a couple of hours of downtime.

Until then, it doesn't matter.

Can't wait for Horizons and Odyssey to get married, And I hope it won't end in Divorce! :ROFLMAO:
Frankly with most of the cool things I love about Horizons being “optimized” out of odyssey, I will be perfectly fine if these 2 separate forever. Odyssey just didn’t bring enough to the relationship honestly. Horizons deserve better. I just hope the console folks can see that one day.

@sallymorganmoore

Some bugs i have since the beginning of odyssey:
-hired pilots have a bugged progression bar, the layer for the progress of the bar is missing, always zero
-with HMD devices: aimpoint floats to the opposite direction when look around, you simply cant aim, happens with Track IR all the time
-with the dolphin you cant see the scooping HUD when your cargo bay is open, the white bar behind the HUD is too bright
WRT the Head/Eye tracker, I have the same issue with my Tobii eye tracker. I toggle it on and off as needed now.

Tobii did make an announcement about this and said they were working with FDev but use the toggle as a workaround.

I disiecta this issue is one of many issues why VR on for is not currently viable because this expedience similar issues as you look around.

Essentially as humans were too wobbly to aim straight in a gaming setting when it eyes and/or head movement is being tracked.

To solve this, FDev would need to decouple head movement from the aim reticle which is currently tied to the mouse primarily but headlook secondarily it seems.

Greetings Commanders.

For the sake of keeping things tidy:

A quick update on this morning's server turbulence (as outlined and discussed as part of the following thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...rbulence-31-01-2022-updated-11-47-utc.598321/).

In order to tackle a variety of issues Commanders were experiencing in line with the Elite Dangerous servers, the Galaxy is now offline and in Emergency Maintenance Mode.

Once the emergency maintenance is complete, I'll release an update on this post and in line with the thread o7

PROGRESS UPDATE: 14:26 UTC
You may have noticed that you may now be able to connect back to the game (and perhaps have been able to for a little while now).
A few more under the radar issues in relation to bolstering stability further are being looked into, however you should now be seeing some improvement from this morning's experience o7

PROGRESS UPDATE: 16:42 UTC
Commanders,I know you've been well connected for over an hour or so now, but I didn't want to tempt fate with confirming our systems are fully go on server side, until absolutely confident and all final 'under the hood' checks have been completed along with tweaks.
I can now happily (and hopefully) say the servers should now be behaiving as expected for you. We will stay vigilent however! No worries o7
Thanks again for your patience, everyone o7

Many thanks again for the patience amidst Monday morning mayhem o7
Out of Cheese Error?

Hi Sally,

Unsure if this is the relevant place - but as this is a continuation post from the original one that’s now closed - I’ve been struggling with carrier jump times. Although this maybe due the number of people jumping on a Sunday morning … either “no time slot” was coming up or jump time was 25 mins

This thread is a year old, so it's very much an irrelevant place.
