Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Beta Details & Feedback

I can't comprehend how there isn't a system to transfer the resources from your fleet carrier. It seems so obvious. Not only you have to do hundreds of resource runs just to gather, you have to do the same amount to transfer it to the construction ship smh

Alright nevermind my comments about increasing costs with buying materials... You get money from getting it to the colonisation ship???? what???? And the price for some is even higher than what i bought it with, making system cost even cheaper than 25 mils. Is this supposed to be end game content or what?

People have talked about the CMM Composites thing to death already, so I am not going to say my full spiel, but I will say it needs to be buffed MASSIVELY. Luckily I am doing this solo, so no real hurry on my part(no one wants to join my Squadron but that's an entirely different thread). That said, I am going through the list pretty fast so hopefully this is addressed soon before I get to the composites themselves

I recorded the list of materials stated in the Colonization Contact page, but they are different than the numbers stated by the actual colonization ship. For example on the Contact page it says an outpost needs 218 copper but the actual ship is saying it needs 250. The Contact said 4843 titanium but the ship says 5636. Is this intentional? Is there some additional materials tax?

GrindBlazers :) We should have some kind of auto transportation from the carrier to the constructor at least....if we do xxxx runs to get stuff on it....its insane to do another xxx runs to get them of....Also, CMM Composite should get a rethink 100%

I think the one on the contacts page was an example. The mats needed from the colonization ship IS what's actually needed. o7

If that is the case it is a very misleading setup that they need to change or make clearer. I made the decision on what kind of station to build based off of what the Colonization Contact menu said.

One thing about the colonization ship spawning in. I think is should spawn in close to where you drop the beacon. Some systems have planets that are, at a minimum, 10k from your initial jump-in point. If one has to fly 10k to get to the colony ship then another 10k (hypothetical. Depends on where the nearest commodity point is) it could really drag out the time it takes to complete the deliveries/purchases even with the supercruise booster.

One extra thing about the CMM Composites. With the "Trailblazer megaship fleet" from the currently ongoing CG I'm assuming they will be filled to the brim with that particular commodity, but any chance we can get some type of confirmation on this?

hi, enthusiastic about this update but in terms of resources we will have to review it because it is too high, especially the compocite cmm

I have the same issue, 6 hours has passed, countless relogs, pc restarts and all possible attempts to fix it. Still asks me to deploy beacon after every relog, I do, then it says "colonization ship contacted" and the ship never arrives.... I do not know what to do....
I'm pretty much assuming the system buy cost is lost, more peeved that I might loose the system; 80% of the first footfalls were mine, but tis the risk of jumping on the beta bandwagon I guess.

Kind of, feeling like the claim buy price should be tied to successful deployment of the colonization ship (or at least deployment of the beacon).

Maybe something like, you pay for the claim, but if it is not accomplished in the 22hr window it is returned and you go on a cooldown for X hours before you can file another claim to avoid someone trying to hold a system or the like. At least then, bugs and/or life, doesn't leave people ****ed off.

Hmm, game crashed when scanning megaship, don't know if it is anything to do with the update but never happened before, anyone else experienced this?

Some people were laughing at those who bought the Type 9 trading jumpstart ship at the start of the Trailblazer CG. Looking at the larger & more complex station building requirements for colonization - who's laughing now?

How long does it take the colonization ship to arrive?

I have deployed my beacon three times now which seems like a bug.

1st deployment, I get a message that it is contacting the ship. Then nothing few several minutes, I waited about 30 minutes then logged off.

Got back in the game and got a message that I need to deployed by beacon again!
2nd deployment... same as the first.

Logged in again and I have another message to deploy the beacon for a third time.
Anyone else having this issue?
I am having the exact same problem. I've deployed the beacon twice now, and.... Nothing.

4 Hours in feedback. Figuring out how to find systems and stake a claim was easy as an explorer. Im already used to using the galaxy map to my advantage. The fact that im paid to turn in commodities is a nice feature because that means my squad mates can help supply the stations.

Things i was unsure of: If i bought a claim. Did that lock anyone else out from placing a beacon or is it a wild race? Why am i not able to chose where to place my 1st station. The randomness made my first one 60k ls out from the star. Thats insane if it places one farther for bigger systems. I should have placed the beacon where i wanted the first station to be or area nearby. Give me options on that.

My first option was a T3 station because why not. Little did i know that I was going to be bottlenecked by a commodity that was always in extreme low supply. 52k CCM Composite? Didnt know what that was. Now this game is gonna be a second job just to finish in the 28 days. At least let me change what type of primary station for the first time. Casus now that entire market is going to be a joke for the future when based on npc stations. The BGS cant keep up. I dock at one that should have 300. Get there and its only 5. That makes it feel unachievable

Bought a claim for a system, jumped into the system and there's already a beacon & colonization ship there. The ****?
So it says I'm the system architect, but I can't deploy my beacon and the ship is showing 10% construction already completed?
Don't tell me I'm going to loose a dream system because of a bug...

Anyone else just never have their Colonisation Ship arrive?

Claimed the system just fine, deployed the beacon, it says "Contacting Colonisation Ship..." and... that's it.

Re-logged, and when I got back in, I was able to deploy the beacon again. So I did. Same deal. I have the architect view and everything, just no Colonisation Ship.
