I made my HUD color changes in the GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml file.

They've never changed.

I used to that too - I forget the values, but it was a "mocha" colour/theme I copied from somewhere.
 
Has anyone else noticed that the vasteroid base paint jobs are missing? I've not seen it mentioned anywhere. The patch notes from the recent big uodate said they would be available??!!
 
Tech level affects the quality of ships available in shipyard and modules available in outfitting. Quantity available is also affected by the size of the population, so a high tech with low population might offer more advanced modules but a smaller selection.
The question that is needing an answer is: How does this affect systems that are built out? If we add more structures, does the shipyard go away? Do all T2 and T3 starports now always have a shipyard, and only the quality and quantity of ships for sale is affected by tech level? The wording suggests that if you build more, you will lose your shipyard.
 
And Powerplay bugged Package ?

There is another report of the same issue at 73478 - with a big number of votes too - so maybe we have a split vote here. It would be good if FDev could close this one as a duplicate. @Paul_Crowther @Phil W

There are loads of minor duplicates of it too, most of which have been marked, and I've just suggested a few more as duplicates.

It's fab that your patching accordingly.
But there are some glaring omissions from colonisation at least from the perspective of the architect.
More info is needed! That is available to the architect. A full list of ongoing stats like development level, tech level etc. Plus the facilitys being named as to their use ie satellite facility, military outpost etc.
And the sooner we get that Huge ship the better!!

This isn't a moan, it's just curiosity.
  • Why do all update require the "preparing planet generation system" timing phase to be done again?
  • Why do all updates reset the HUD colours? i.e. I use EDHM UI to make stuff blue but it changes back to orange
  • They don't. I've only had to regenerate when updating GPU drivers. Haven't had to regenerate from a game update in months.
  • EDHM modifies game files, which are replaced when the game updates.

Edhm modifies nothing. It overrides shaders, which stops working when elite gets updated with different shader code.

It'll get a patch in a few days. No biggy.

Anyone getting Power Commodities? It's been over an hour since my last pickup and all I'm getting is unavailable.

Missing UC is also nonsense. When you build Starport, it must have all the services active - that's what makes it a Starport.
Same goes for Outposts and Settlements, all that makes them them should be active from the start.

However, how they are stocked and available missions 'n all should be a matter of how the system is developed. There you calculate, FDevs.
 
Did a relog to Main Menu, game pushed me all the way to Desktop. But relog worked now I have normal UI . With any luck whatever locked me out of allocated resources was a "transient bug" ;)
