Elite Dangerous | Type-8 Update (18.08) | Wednesday 7th August

Issue Tracker
  • Fixed Python Mk2 hull & integrity being unable to be repaired (Issue ID: 64522)
The problem is that the Python Mk2 now suffers the same damage that the older ships do when you use SCO. This makes no sense as the Python Mk2 was supposed to be reinforced so that it didn't suffer so much.

I just used SCO for less than 3 seconds between 2 stations and had the same amount of damage to repair as I would with any other ship.

One of the partner streamers stated that the T-8 will be available for purchase with credits on November 7th, I'll assume they didn't just pluck the date from the air, and it seems a reasonable suggestion.
Thank you.
When will the other two ships stated to be released in 2024 scheduled with their "early access" and public release for credits with Odyssey?

I'm still not clear on how the extra backpack cap mod is going to work. Currently going in to look.

Also, still no PayPal allowed for ARX :cry:

EDIT: Woah! Just checked out mat rewards for on-foot missions! Now that's coolness :D
Aha! With extra back pack cap:

Assets = 160
Goods = 80
Data = 40

On a Mav anyway...

Now, the overall storage cap is going to get to 1,000 much quicker. Perhaps time to increase that also?

Systems under LYR control offer a bigger discount, 15% versus 10% for ShinDez. Obviously no help if LYR systems aren't stocking the ship yet.
Yeah, that's why I checked LYR before, but gave up after the 3rd station.
It was the same as the exp.weapon stabilizers came out.
They was available hours/days after ...Hopefully with the thursday tick. Want to have the LYR-discount on it ;-)

And the modules are discounted as well in LYR, more than Jameson's. I like Jameson's cause it has almost everything in stock, almost all the time. And yes sometimes even Jameson's is out of things, not sure why that happens once in awhile

I just engineered a 5a SCO-FSD, not going to an engineer, but using my pinned schema (Felicity Farseer)
It seems that the number of rolls needed to fully engineer one grade is connected directly to the grade,
1x roll for grade 1
2x rolls for g2
.... 5x rolls for g5
much better now then before

I think your reputation level with the engineer is also a factor. Not sure exactly how that works, but something to bear in mind.

Hi, and sorry if this has already been reported but
1) At least in VR, the point-of-view when outfitting the Type-8 is facing the wrong way. I select different paint colors but all I see is the hangar wall.
2) The Type-8 is receiving way more integrity damage than the Python Mk II. I believe newly developed ships that come ready for SCO take barely no damage from flights as they are designed with tougher hulls.

Edit: At least in RES, the number of dropped mats seem to be the same as before - which is great news. Don't need the landscape cluttered with a million mats floating about. Maybe >3 mat count for each pickup would work better at RES.

It seems a storage capacity upgrade is in order. Even if you can store materials - both for ships and on-foot upgrades - at your personal fleet carrier, 1,000 is looking like it should be 10,000 instead as that is a more sensible number now.

I pulled this off the latest Frontier Unlocked, it shows the progress one roll will make, if it helps:

python mk2 availability is growing quick, saw only 3 stations a few minutes ago, now it's about 10
