Version 2.3.0 released!
Earlier today, I released version 2.3.0 of the app. The main new feature is an in-game orrery view:
I'm not going to say it's scientifically correct, but it looks OK to me

However, if you encounter any issues or bugs, do let me know. The orrery is on its first version after all and there's bound to be things I've overlooked.
One of the things that often goes wrong is that data for a given system is not available, especially in the bubble.
The orrery view uses data from the
EDDB database. Since mid 2016 the database has been filling with astronomical bodies. Unfortunately a lot of the systems in the bubble do not require scanning and are thus never automatically uploaded to EDDB. If you encounter such a system, please try to update it manually in EDDB. The next day your updated data will be available in the orrery view for everyone.
The orrery view is also available as an audio visualization, which I think gives a very soothing effect:

In the above video you will also notice another new feature: windows can now have a higher resolution than the standard 320x240 pixels. This allows for prettier orrery views, and other views are also larger. However, I have not yet fully optimized all other screens for the higher resolutions and I'm not sure that I will as the 320x240 view stays the default.
I am working on getting the orrery view to the Arx app as well, hope to have it up soon!
There are quite a few bug fixes and a few other improvements in this version as well:
- text-to-speech voices are being equalized to give them approximately the same volume
- added a Starfield audio visualization
- updated the Spotify Free interface
- screenshots converted to jpg will have the current location in the metadata again
- can now select screen to start with in the options
Well, let me know if you find any bugs, issues, or have ways to improve the app further!
