Elite ideas....Post em.

I want to fly in hypercruise together, when winged. So if anybody in wing is aligned and at full speed, the wingleader can initiate the warp and I can see my mates flying with me\next to me.

Only problem is the fuel and fsd ranges won't necessarily match the leader.

My idea is for a warning message from the ship computer when your controller battery dies - I keep the majority of xbox notifications off as they are quite obtrusive - so it's as if your control systems have just failed, or, like the bomb in Dark Star, the computer has a little 'moment'.

Feel free to post ideas here

One thing lets think these through and give some kind of process not just " make guns stronger" or "fix missiles"

My idea.

Trading can be a long grind. One thing that would be nice is locked courses.

So i am trading from system x and station 1, to system y station 3. every time i do my trading i have to pull up the galaxy map and do one of two things. 1) type in said system and wait for it to find it. then click the course option then leave the station. 2) find system by visually looking for it. In both ways when we arrive in said system we have to lock the station we are going to. It the future i can do this with my GPS round trip directions, its fantastic.

What i propose is we can set a lock for round trips. We type in the start system, and station and end system and station, and then return systems and stations. So that literally all we have to do is leave station, jump, land, trade, leave, jump. And our destinations are already plotted for us.

Other idea was music. I would really like to be able to use xbox music in game without having snap active. So i could go to the right screen to functions, Radio stations, and it would list my playlists, and it could have a distant sound to it, as if it actually sounded like it was coming from my ship. That would just be fantastic

So you're about to dock on say pad "30" so you fly in, dodge an eagle on the way but wait! Where is my pad, oh that one is lit up hmm nope, thats 10, nope that one is 15, oh the...nope 31 oh there it is "30" This is odd to me... why are there other lit up pads i see when all i care about is this little number on a pad in the huge station. Lets please remove the non essential lit up pads, only one i feel i should see is mine, it would make life easier specially when I'm taking up so much space in my T9.

A wanted listing. People in the system that have a wanted bounty and how much it is. This will be described more below.

Permits for jobs.

Mining-- you should need to buy a permit ( small price ) which allows you to mine in said areas.

Trading-- (not a trading permit hear me out) So maybe your in a cobra small cargo ability right? but maybe you are friends with someone in say a Type 7. With a trading permit the friend in the type 7 could basic ferry your cargo for you and for a small cost but its the owners cargo so you are just busing it for the cobra

Bounty hunting-- How do authorities now you are not just murdering ppl. Well i guess cause said ship has a bounty. Hmm ok well what if you had a permit, then you are free to bounty hunt, tagged with the KWS you can claim a bounty in any system even if they are wanted in a different system, preventing you the bounty hunter from gaining a bounty

A direct feed off of one of the side panels for a list of current CMDR's in a system that are wanted in that system. You would need a Bounty permit to have this. It wouldn't tell you their direct location but wanted ppl would only show when they are in said system. It would provide information like name, ship, combat level, wanted amount, reason for being wanted

When the ability to board comes around this could really brighten up things with bounty hunting, example:
CMDR is wanted, bounty hunter disables ship, bounty is "dead or alive" more for alive, bounty hunter captures wanted criminal alive with stun gun ( same affect as death for player who was wanted ) though instead of ship destruction it goes to your spawn stations and is in An impound, so its like you were in jail. you just pay a small fee and get your ship back, wanted level is gone. On the bounty hunter side of it, after stunning wanted criminal he has to bring the body back to said station for processing, and reward.

One permit at a time..

What ideas do you have? Give examples of its purpose, how it would work in your mind. or multiple ways it could be done.
See you all in the black

I like the idea of locking a trade route for sure. Also, there's a game I used to play on pc that had bounties (the wanted player/npc and their bounty amount) listed in the "police station" at the big space stations. While the station listed the bounties, you still would not know where to look for them, but you could buy the last known location of that particular bounty if you wanted to pay the (fairly expensive) required amount. I think something similar could be implemented in Elite Dangerous as well.

No more SCB spam, purpose= tallent would win over crutch(assuming same ship/not related to my other Conda post's). As for minor change's stealth upgrade's and black market buying as well as selling with a "smuggling rep" that increases by the more profit you make per load of market purchased good's, not taking alternate mission while contract smuggling, and the buy option in black market get's cheaper the higher your rep because it'd show you're a reliable smuggler.

I found it odd that they had stations that had black market contacts, but only to sell stolen goods. I mean, I do understand that, if you pirate or salvage illegally, you need a place to sell your goods, but I agree that a black market to buy and sell black market goods would add something special for the Elite Dangerous smugglers like ourselves. ;)

I would like to say to the devs that will read this post, I believe that anyone posting these suggestions, loves the game regardless if you add these suggestions or not. Keep up the good work on this amazing game and thank you very much for bringing it to XBOne.

I am not sure about the XBone, but on the PC version, provided wingmen have enabled the Wingman Nav Lock, the ship computer will initiate FSD jumps PROVIDED the destination is in range.
