Elite / Frontier Elite II Movie, search text

Hi,

I Attempt to create a little movie based on the Elite's series.

The Main Plot:
it's more a test, I just will try to reproduce landing of the ship in a orbital base.

Lenght:
some minutes.

Program I use:
Blender

But the problem at this time is that I cannot create good texture, so I search someone who can help me to handle this.

And if someone can make a remix of the main theme, i'am also interrest.

Maybe we can create a team, to make something better after.

If you hesitate, i'll give you one of my first screenshot

a movie, nice idea :)
but i would start with a single object and get yourself more experienced in use of raytracing/rendering with blender.
there are modelers communities with exactly this goal, you might know.
anyway here's the link http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/forum.php.
you can present your W.I.P there and fortunately some will give you advice how to get to the right result, or take the advantage of the user created tutorials. many blender users you can meet here with a specific sci-fi choice of course.
another specific blender 3d forum: http://forum.irakrakow.com/index.php
i think this should help you on your way, btw i use blender to, but the movie project has been freezed, since it costs really a lot of time to do one and i would have to concentrate on this only, but there are still many other unfinished things on my desk on which i like to work on.

from small things big things come

I found a couple of clips on Youtube of people recreating stuff from Elite and Frontier, more specifically the intro animation itself. They had recreated it shot for shot and matched the music, but had improved the graphics and effects. They hadn't improved it a great deal however, it was still pretty bare looking. It's often good animation practice though, remaking something like an intro movie in your own way.
