Fiction Elite: Legacy

Hi Michael.

I'm thrilled to hear about Drew Wagar's new project, and I was wondering if there is going to be any news soon about other Elite novels being licenced? I've tried going through the usual channels regarding a licence but heard nothing back as of yet.

I am a published author and professional content editor, and I've got a complete MS ready for consideration. I just don't know who to contact or how.

(feel like a damn kid waving his arms wildly in class hoping to get the teacher's attention ;) )

Is this the "usual channel" you used?

Yep! Was sent a form to fill out, filled it out and sent it back but haven't heard back.

But it also seems awkward too. I mean, trying to pitch a book is a bit different than wanting to licence Tshirts or the like, I would think.

And at this stage I'm really looking for information. I might have the MS complete, but I don't know anything about the process they would expect an author to take.

Have you asked Drew Wagar? He's recently announced a new book in partnership with FDev, and he's previously written about the licence application process which seemed to take quite a long time. He may be your best source of info about how it works in practice.

Yeah, I've talked with Drew a couple times. There's only so much he can say, though, it seems (NDA type stuff).

Well, then I guess it's just a waiting game! Good luck, I look forward to reading the published, official and authoritative version of Lost Souls! (good work, btw)

Shame the asteroid itself is sitting alone in space. I am sure that's a coding thing, and will hopefully be resolved, but can't wait to see it in The Belt.

FYI, from the book, I'd also have imagined the base being much more modern and complete, not a construction site.

Not complaining, again, I am sure this is just the state of the code at the moment, the lack of assets etc. I just really hope that this isn't left as is, but will be worked on in future to make it more in sync with the book!

For Michael!
