No read again... he does not want to install it there... Elite installs by default on his boot drive apparently.

No, Elite installs by default in the Windows' Appdata folder (which is a subdirectory of the User folder). Meaning he put his Appdata folder on his SSD. Which is a tremendous waste of SSD space.

It's far better during Windows setup to put your user folders somewhere else and save the SSD space for something that actually needs the SSD (like, oh, Elite! And yes, you can install it elsewhere... there is a trick to it. There's a guide on this forum. I don't remember the exact forum thread, but I found it via Google search)

but perhaps should have said that in the first place since if he did it that way he was obviously not knowing about the app data folder and how to set it out of his SSD.

LOL, no - This didn't happen to me, but it could happen to a generic user who installs a lot of apps on their OS disk without consideration of space usage.
