That's not normal space, that's supercruise
Without FSD, no supercruise. Travelling with max 900m/s takes sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiightly longer

I've done a few light years in supercruise myself. Sixteen light years at 2001c will take a while.

Not my drawing by the way. Just something I found on the net which was quite appropriate. I simply added the text and the little spaceship desperately trying to escape hehe.

HA! Awesome, and have some rep. "But Supercruise is boring!" Never mind that Frontier has kindly provided us with ships--from the tiny Sidewinder on up-- with FTL drives (thanks to Handwavium SCIENCE!) to make it possible to traverse those distances in a reasonable amount of time (well, except for Hutton Orbital, hehe--what does that actually require, I keep hearing different figures).
