The incursion mode in the demo version puts you in a Sidewinder facing off against against various ships including (but not limited to):
  • A Cobra III (wave 5)
  • A Viper III (wave 8)
  • A wing of 3 Sidewinders (wave 9)
  • An Anaconda (wave 10)
I can confirm that the Viper III is doable, and that it is possible to kill 1 of the 3 Sidewinders. I haven't gotten to the Anaconda yet, and I'm not looking forward to all of the exploding that will occur before then.

Edit: Just got past the wing of Sidewinders. The Anaconda is going to be a lot harder than I though because it has a full turret loadout (multis on the top, pulse lasers on the bottom). I managed to take down the shields and remove 10% of the hull before the lasers took of the last 3% of my hull (my canopy blew out before I got the shields down).
