Elite on second computer for free for same player?

I have ED+Horizons on desktop PC.

Question:
Can I also install ED+Horizons for free on my laptop to use it while I'm away, on a trip?
With same in-game account, of course.

Thanks, o7

Yes but you will need to re-authenticate when you change machines. That is for ED bought direct. I don't know about steam.

I run it on both my PC and laptop and it works just fine. No need to reauthenticate (I don't; never have). It just works - BUT - that's direct launcher access, no Steam or Oculus or anything else, just the native launcher.

Things must have changed since I last used my laptop.

yes - both frontierstore and steam versions (you only have to do the authorisation once per machine, as long as you don't select "log out machine" on the launcher menu).

Perhaps; been running them for about 3 years like that. As others have said; if you log out, it'll obvious ask, and you can't run both together - but I run two launchers for two accounts on both machines and they have never expired or anything.

It has been longer than that since I used my laptop. I always had to update the launcher when I did. That might have caused the request to authenticate.
