Elite / Frontier Elite on Xbox Live Arcade

this MUST happen. We should all get together and convince Sir David of Brayburn (yeah I know its not spent that way, (and yes I also realise flatulence gets you nowhere LOL )) to tart up and release this ASAP. So many people want it so damn much.
Come on people lets make it happen.

I have to say here that I totally agree with this post. Elite would be great on the X Box and most certainly, flatulence will never get you anywhere :D:D

I'll be greedy and say I want all 3 ;)

But Elite would probably be the best of them to be on the Xbox.

You have never tried FFE tvrobyn? You should. I would tell you to go to space sim central, but its down at the moment for maintenance. It should be back in a day or so. Here is a link to the downloads area for when it's up and running again. Just have a look for FFE3D http://www.spacesimcentral.com/downloads.php

If you love the original Elite do try Oolite, here http://www.oolite.org/download.shtml

Steve who is a member on here, also has a great frontier related site located here http://www.frontierastro.co.uk/Files/files.html A tweaked version of the original FFE is on there too ;)

does it run in win xp? I'm tempted! Tweaked how?
Also, regarding frontier XBLA- would love to have voice chat with other ships commanders and the ability to name our own ships. Mine would be the Constellation.
I already have oolite!

Eh.

:p

For the original Elite, I just played Space Pirates from Tomarrow.

As for a Frontier-alike, I think it would be tricky on a controller.

@tvrobyn
It's called JJFFE and has many bug fixes over the original version. FFE3D has bug fixes plus an overhaul of the graphics. If you do a search on this forum, I am sure you will find a few screen shots ;)

Good, you already have Oolite. You ought to also have a look at this site http://pioneerspacesim.net/ It relates to a re-make you might be interested in :) Still in early development but getting better and better.

Frontier has already been ported to a controller in the shape of the Amiga CD32 version. So its been done.

downloaded and played FFE.... Not so keen. Just seems too fussy:rolleyes:

Mmmmm, I thought there was a download of FFE3D on Frontier Astro, but there is only a link to Space Sim Central. Sorry about that tvrobyn, still, have fun with GLFFE until the SSC is up and running again. It's still a good solid version of the game :)

Does anybody have a file converter for glfrontier, to change of saves into a recognizable format for loading?:S
