Here's an idea for a character reset challenge. This reset choice would only be available once you reach Elite in any skill slot.
- After resetting, you are given an option to choose any ship you like. That's a stock ship with 10,000 credits in the bank.
- You must stick with that ship and are not allowed to buy any others. (Shipyard option grayed out)
- You are restricted to use Open mode only. (PG / Solo grayed out)
- You are given a thirty day (real time) clock that counts down.
- You have thirty days (real time) to earn the purchase price of that ship in credits and have that money in your account when the timer reaches zero.
- Accomplish that challenge, you keep the ship and money, all grayed out menu options become available.
- Fall short, you lose the ship, any money you made and you get given a Sidey with 1,000 credits with reset Trade, Exploration, Combat rankings.
- Ironman rules. Die during the timer countdown and reset back to chosen ship and 10,000 credits, timer or ranks do not reset. Succeed without dying, keep ship and money, PLUS get one of each ship in the game.
If you fail to get the purchase price when the timer reaches 0 - You cannot redo this character reset choice until you have reached Elite again in any skill slot.
