I can confirm that Python uses medium pads, as thanks to elite shipyard last night I was able to buy one!

I can second that!

Also many thanks to OP. It's a great help, been testing/dreaming up ship specs on it since the start. Rep for you is the least you deserve.

Great App. Already used it lots of times.

Also dreaming up with ships specs here. Then i look at the price tab and turns into a nightmare, lol.

Hi fab program use it all the time but found a problem when using the route, I chose a route from Apala to CD-51 102 and it laid out a route via LTT 198 so laid in this next system but got told I needed a permit so in the end found a route around it but is it possible to add any systems (that are known) with permit required or to find a route around permit systems?.

thanks dee....

Is there a complete list somewhere of systems that require permits? I'm just using http://edstarcoordinator.com/ for system coordinates and their API doesn't give any information about permits (or security level, which might also be helpful to know for the systems on your route).

in this tool in the upper right there are options for low - % field - full

what do these mean?
Apparently, that's fuel.
Yep -- as you'll see if you hover your mouse over them, those headers along the top refer to your fuel level, just like the headers down the side refer to your cargo mass, since both of those contribute to your overall mass which determines how far you can go in a single jump. "Low" fuel means you have just enough to make a single maximum-range jump (according to the max-fuel-per-jump attribute of your FSD module), while "Full" is of course a full tank. The box in between lets you set a custom fuel level to see how it affects your jump range; you'll note that as you reduce your fuel level your jump range goes up (because you have less mass) until you hit the % of your tank that equals the FSD's max-fuel-per-jump, and then your range starts going down again (all the way to 0 range with 0 fuel).

I think the route planner may be a little off...62 Ursae majoris to wurango is 13 ish ly in a straight line, one jump in a t7. Loading out a type 9 I get a 196ly route through multiple systems?

The only way I can replicate this is if I set the loadout just right so that the jump range is just barely under 13 LY, so that it cannot make the single direct jump. If it's below ~12 then no route is found at all, but between 12 and 13 there's a very long roundabout way to get there.

So, increase your jump range somehow. As soon as you can jump 13.02 LY, it will happily give you the direct route.

seems a bit odd, just checked in game and it's two jumps on eco, 6.19 and 11ly so the 9 should be able to make this surely?
What system does it go through? It's possible that EDStarCoordinator doesn't know that system exists, in which case EDShipyard's route planner won't either. In that case, you'd just need to go to the missing system, write down its distance from 5 other known systems, and then submit it to http://edstarcoordinator.com/ . Then within a few hours EDShipyard should pick it up.

Updated to v1.1.1: Importing from text is more fault tolerant; added class 7 Shield Cell Bank stats; corrected the Dropship's pad size and Orca's internal comparments.

Wish they would pin these sorts of tools to forum, I have lost count of of the players I have directed to this VERY useful site.
Saves a lot of time, money and unexpected shutdowns :)
