That's a big reason for me not to buy it.All I see against the OQ2 is Facebook.

Genuine question what are you scared of?That's a big reason for me not to buy it.
To be fair, that isn't the only thing against the Q2. G2 has better image (colours, contrast, resolution, glare), better audio, and is more comfortable. I'm not going to knock the Q2 (I have both), but the G2 is much better for ED.All I see against the OQ2 is Facebook.
G2 has issues. High volume shuts off the headset, tracking poor, controllers not supported in all games (xplane 11 etc) , not plug and play be ready to edit config files by hand. The list just goes on.
I don't think it's a question of being scared. I just find the whole thing about buying a VR headset from Oculus, and then suddenly being pressured into getting a FB account very intrusive, especially because I have zero chance of opposing that.Genuine question what are you scared of?
Your right, scared was a poor word to choose, I guess concerns would be better.I don't think it's a question of being scared. I bought the hardware and even though I probably accepted handing over my firstborn child to FB research while accepting the TOS without reading it at one time, I still have a gut feeling of what I want to accept, and having Zuck press his useless social network in my face is just as disgusting as if he was doing something similar using his private parts.
Not scared. Don't trust, would be a better description of how I feel about Zuckerberg. Ask yourself, why do you have to have a Facebook account in order to play games in VR?Genuine question what are you scared of?
Yeah its a good question. I do have to have accounts for all sorts of stuff but they are at least related to said activity. Steam is an example BITD Id buy a game on DVD and that was mine. Then it all went online and even my Playstation Required an account!. Incidentally, currently I prefer to buy from Steam or direct (although that usually means another account) just in-case in the future my Oculus purchases are taken away by My Zuckerberg. Not scared.
