From the £10 for each ticket Mike Snos receives £9.12 in to his PayPal Account.
The Hotel bill is £200
We could have reduced ticket prices, but the Planners and Plotters Group (the same group who was behind the Cheques and Plaque presented to David Braben at the ED Launch Party https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz7ppGQOfkI) decided that we'd rather see if we could do other things with the money. For example:

We could get some 'loot' as decided by the Elite Planners and Plotters facebook page.
We may also get some teas and coffees etc for the event.
We may also put any extra money behind the bar.

Obviously we can't know anything until closer to the event, but even Snos and I have paid for our tickets and the event will not make any profit, even if it means putting the last couple of quid in to a collection tin...

That's fine Eid, I'd just rather have asked and seen a reply; Enough times over the years events like these have turned out... badly. :)

Hey there, glad you're interested in coming.... The more the merrier. :)

As Ben's said we have a number of options for any excess dough so I won't be booking my long-awaited trip to the Caribbean and the new camera kit just yet. ;)

Just to help give a little confidence about the money side of things, it was me, with help from a few others, that collected the £2209.84 for Special Effect and Games Aid for the launch party presentation. :)

Also, many of the E : D based events have been organised by fans rather than just an individual or two... This event was discussed by a good few people over the past few months so it's not like it's unsupported or just though of at the drop of a hat :)

Unfortunately I can't go to a pub and not have a good drink. You would be surprised how one night messes up a training schedule, especially if you are running 40 odd miles a week!

Seriously, though, have a great time!

PS Thinking of taking my gaming PC and my Oculus DK2 along. Also possibly have the Galaxy Gear for my Note 4 by then as well.

What do I need to do to check the kit is OK?

The venue have said that any equipment bought along needs to have been PAT-tested.... Beyond that it's a matter of how many we can reasonably fit in....

Just a quick note - if anyone wants an EDTracker and wants to pick it up at this event, give me some forewarning and I'll make it up and bring it along. I'll do an "EliteMeet-only" deal, I'll forgo the price of the enclosure (£3). Prices are on the website but basically that would make it £25 for a non-mag version, or £35 with the mag. Or I can bring PCBs if people want to make it themselves, of course ;). Drop me a PM if you want one.

Looking forward to this now! Come on February, get the hell out of the way!
