The non consensual meme comes from when a PvE player equated PvP with sexual assault on a YouTube comments section. The PvP crowd appropriated it to highlight how absurdly out of touch some commentators are. Like how someone recently equated pvpers to ISIS

Let's also not forget the LGBT folk who have faced decades of harrassment, institutional discrimination, imprisonment and even death for their identity and sexuality. But that's nowhere near as bad as getting your pretend spaceship interdicted by someone in a vide game who might want to shoot at you with their pretend spaceship.
