Whats the youngest age folk are allowed to play Elite? I just took my nine year old through the flight training course and they killed their first drone. Heh.

I let my 4 year old sit inside my sidewinder in VR. Far too young to play it (and I don't let him use VR either in general) but it was funny to see his reaction to suddenly be in a spaeship and no longer in the lounge. He was blown away.
My 8 year old can clear Med CZs (including spec ops)

TBH Terraria is better than most games.
I have set up a raspberry pi and am introducing my lad into 8 and 16 bit gaming. I would like him to appreciate these titles before being corrupted by the shiny visuals of modern gaming complete with micro transactions and loot boxes.
I do really hope he likes elite when he gets older. I am looking forward to playing minecraft with him but would love to have him in my space ship in ED

Mine finished N64 Jedi Starfighter, then podracing. Then i deemed him ready
So I play and my lad watches and "helps" so far we have done all the nes and SNES Mario games, the dizzy egg game on NES, various bomberman games , donkey Kong country, and we are close to the end of Zelda lttp .... The joys of lockdown
Taught my daughter (10 at the time) to play a few years back, she can do cargo hauls to and from stations with help from the docking computer, she loves jumping with the friendship drive. She reads out loud every single mission on the board before cautiously selecting one...it's only cute the first time.
My son hasn't tried Elite yet, good job really because if he likes it I'll probably never get a go again.

I can't wait for my lad to be old enough. I will build him a pc out of my old bits and we can play together.
