Moved add trade

Hi Guys,

I've moved the ADD TRADE section into a modal so it is now accessible using the big blue button on the dashboard. :)

Hi everyone,

I've made a couple of minor changes to the site and 1 major one! :)

Minor:

Moved menus about a bit.
Moved the add trade section back to the top of the dashboard (popular request)

Major:

ADDED A CURRENT MARKET STATUS PAGE!!!
Here you get an instant snapshot of the state of the market as recorded by players logging their trades. It finally allows us to make decisions on where to pick and where to take goods :)

The data is collected manually by all the member of the Elite Trade Network. If you have a read through the posts in this thread you'll see the evolution on the idea of the site. It is not an automated system more a collection of traders sharing info.

Hi Tom, thanks for all the work you've put into this tool. I've played around with a few of the other Trade Tools and it's refreshing to find one that's going in a different direction. Trade data gathered from a network of traders seems more immersive and less game breaking to me than automatically pulling the data out of the game. That being said will there be an option to exclude information from other players so that all I see are the trades that I entered? I don't mind sharing my information with the network but rather than base my decisions on data from the network I'd like to make those decisions based solely on trades I've made. Essentially I'm asking can I use your tool solely as an electronic log book of my own trades.

Small glitch when using on iPad. The menu bar shifts down somewhat obscuring the data entry boxes. Data can still be entered but it's quite easy to hit 'Log Out’ when entering the supply and demand data.

Also Progenitor Cells is duplicated in the commodities drop down.

i also like this idea, atm i'm not registered but do intend to, i'm not trading until gamma is released

Hi NoTones + Chaseydog,

Sorry i've been off the radar for a bit and did stop development for a while. I have since resumed and am gathering data on what people want from the site. I'll look into the Ipad issue you posted (Chaseydog) and I'm glad you both like the general idea of the trade network. When you log trades, you can view you're previous trades in the list but all of the data is used when calculating the general universe-wide best/worse pricing.

Is this what you mean? If so then yes you can simple look at the trades you've logged (at the top).

I have some great feedback from some of the 250 registered users so this has spurred me on a bit to start developing again! :)

Looking forward to getting the next release and the final one soon!! Still playing a lot even though it all get wiped each time the major update comes along!

Hi Everyone,

I've restarted development on this little project and ave just hit v0.1.1 :) woo hoo!!!

v0.1.1 - 14 Nov 14
You can now add Locations to the database if they do not exist.
You can now add Commodities to the database if they do not already exist.

This means that now, if you discover a new outpost/starport/system or commodity, you can add it to the database yourself :) while you add a trade.

Over the last 6 months, usage of the app has tailed off but we're up to 300 users now and it would be great if people could start logging their trades again so we can build some great data to share. Now we can grow with E:D!

I also recently sent out a survey to some members and the feedback was great. The nicest thing was that the majority (actually one 1 didn't want this) want the website to be a place where we, as traders, can build an awesome community of people giving each other NON-AUTOMATED trade information. So let's get logging those trades and submitting bug reports/feature requests.
