Elon Musk?

sigh come on guys your not asking the right questions. What you should be wondering is if Elon Musk demanded a Cobra MK IV would fdev give it to him?

I'd really hope that they gave him an azure paint job for it, and an exclusive ship kit, but refused the actual ship as he was a day late in ordering horizons.

I'm not really this malicious. That isn't true.

I've never understood the idea of needing to colonize another planet in our solar system because we will ruin the one we are on. It's absolute lunacy to think the monumental steps needed to create a hospitable environment on Mars is somehow a superior option to maintaining a hospitable Earth.

Edit: Marklar is a ninja.
I believe that Elons take on this is that while protecting the earth from ourselves is very important, which is why he has pushed for electric cars replacing internal combustion, hyperloop, as a concept that can provide fast clean long distance commuting, Solar City, solar roofing, etc.
Elons point is that even IF we can get all those things right and reverse climate change, our planet can get smacked into an extinction level event at any moment more or less. It's happened numerous times in the past, it will happen again and it will be impossible to predict, or protect against. If the long term survival of the human race is to be assured, we have to become a multi planet species, or ultimately go the way of the dinosaurs.
As for criticism of his irresponsible, maverick and obsessive character, my response would be to point out that it is exactly these traits that are required for this to become a reality.
I would not put anything beyond what Elon can achieve, he has proven his capability to realise even his most ambitious plans.
I don't know, it might come across in this post that I'm a fan. Sorry.

That's OK, I'm sure SC will be happy to make him a custom one for a cool million ;)

Hopefully it'll be shaped like a car! ;)

We've found out the commander name of Elon! ;)

Except the Hyperloop.

Because it's nonsense.
It might be impractical to construct and the basic concept over a century old but I am not sure nonsense applies to it.
It certainly seemed sensible enough in “A Transatlantic Tunnel, Hurrah!”.

Impractical to construct, impossible to operate and maintain, a death trap if ever actually constructed ... things I suspect that over the years that Musk has been pushing it (and being credited with the idea) he has known full well :sneaky:

Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat novels. Brilliant. Never read that one though.
