Whilst pictures would be a definite +1 on my choice, I don't find the lack of them off putting, though I have always enjoyed reading and writing books more than dvd's etc, but I can see how they would help others!

As for the new Emperor/Empress, I say "go Arissa", I always go for the underdog! (Plus it is sucha good Fantasy style name! - Final fantasy, Skyrim etc!

I'm going to go with the cleverest one, and right now, that seems to be Arissa. She's courteous, maintains the whole velvet glove tactic while her opponents throw slurs around at each other while she consolidates her power. She'd be the best ruler for the Empire. Paetreus is too eager to fight every battle (Jera/Durius, although fighting in Sanna via that proxy war with the Feds is a smart move), and Torval is way too blunt (just look at her press releases). Aisling is little more than a child who thinks everything can and will go her way because of her 'claim', but is clearly mostly clueless about how politics actually works.

I'll be backing Torval. I'm allied with a number of her factions. My opinion on slavery is that I've already made some nice money trading Imperial Slaves and doing her 'Freelance Employment Consultant' missions. She wants to increase the supply of Imperial Slaves, can't disagree with that. Along with Patreus, she also seems to represent the status quo in the Empire. Personally I think she'll back Arissa for the throne and not seek the throne herself. Harold's line is against slavery, so that won't be happening. Not sure what she'll do in regards to Patreus, as he could be either useful in an unholy alliance, else their rivalry could turn into civil war. But their interests seem to be mutual right now; Patreus needs a warhawk, Torval needs a conservative. Empress Arissa could be easily influenced by both and Chancellor Blaine.

EDIT: The outcome is this could definitely influence relations with the Federation in the next few months, especially if Patreus is victorious in someway and if President whatshername that's meant to be a James Callaghan of leaders so she can lose out to some crazy right-wing nutter, either through democratic means or through an English Civil War style purge of the Congress. We'll then have President Hudson in office, who will obviously be proponent of brinkmanship against the Empire. I honestly think that war will break out and combat zones between the Empire and Federation will spring up before the end of the year.

So far, I'm inclined towards Torval. Her slave liberations help keeping demand high.

I wonder what happens when the white walkers (Thargoids) show up.

Yep! I think the same and really hope that Arissa will manage to sit on the Empire throne.

I'm for Torval since she's pretty determined, has an infinite amount of credits and doesn't mind throwing them around. I don't like her supporting Patreus though so I might side with Arissa if the interests conflict.
