Ants have been an interest of mine since childhood. When I was a almost-1st grader, Black and white TV was all we had but there was this grainy cartoon of two ant colonies going to war ... so interesting it was. After that, I would try and find two different looking ant hills and use a shovel to move one to the other and see if they fight ... no luck that I observed, they just wandered around confused.
Now in the area of the world I live, Fire Ants are migrating north. When I was a kid, there were no fire ants anywhere, now they're everywhere.
