Agreed with OP. Never liked engineers. Now they've removed the point altogether. Max is the status quo. Everything's the same at max. Might as well not have it at all. They moved square one to propagate the illusion of progress. Elite was better before engineers, IMO. Would be nice if they increased some of the stock values though.
