Enclosure Ideas

I find them to work quite well if the ends meet, usually in a circular pattern, but a variety of shapes and sizes seem to work just fine! ;)

In all seriousness, I'm not quite sure what you're after, other than maybe ideas? It's a bit difficult to do on Isla Pena (that's the small one, right?) but on the other maps, to save space on hatcheries, I tend to place one with enough room to build three enclosures around it (one either side, then another in front) in addition to a small opening directly in front; that way I can create a Dinosaur, release it into the front pen, then open up a gate and it'll run off into wherever it is I desire it to go.

I saw some Video toturials of guys rebuilding like the velociraptor enclosure from the Movie. Others Build Arenas and Stuff. I want to give my Island the prettiest enclosures around so i Need some ideas and some ppl are Genius about it. For example: Build fences like an octagon, build a river that Looks like an X from The top a.s.o.
I Hope some ppl will Share them ideas cause im actually frustraited rn cause my enclosures dont look pretty at all.
Greetings from Germany

What I do is generally have a guest viewing side and a maintenance side. Thick forest hide the fence on the maintenance side and some trees in front of towers and between galleries to spread the forest around. Shrubs tool near fences, edge of forests, and edge of ponds but leave most open grassland as the short cut grass in herbivore pens to imitate the grazed field look. For carnivore only pens, after placing as much forest as possible while maintaining enough grassland, shrub tool the whole thing; no herbs to cut the grass.

-I just left for a trip so I can’t show you screenshots till next week, but here’s how I make really cool looking swamp/marsh. Medium to large pen on mostly flat ground and fill with water tool (and try to find one of the lower areas on the map so it makes sense: Nublar map has a spot already set up this way). Fence in the area and place a Gyrosphere; have the path wind around avoiding any straightaways but also not coming too close back to itself or the fence. Use the remove water tool to select sites for feeders then water tool around the edge of this to make it look more natural and less “here’s a perfect circle of land”. Now, shrub tool everything. Next comes an important option; Spino Marsh or Bary Swamp. Spino needs a lot of grassland so place a bit of forest around the feeders and you’re done. For Bary Swamp, cover with forests but then go back and delete most of the dense foliage but still maintain a canopy. Last is what dinos you want to put in it is ultimately up to you but dilophosaurus looks good in here and a big group of them provide a good ambient sound to the environment while the only “swamp” looking dinos they don’t work with are the hadrosaurs. Now just put on some Cajun music, take a ride in the gyro, and if you see a Baryonx or a Suchomimus just call Paw-paw and say “Parrain! Dey got dem a tree-shaker in der!”

-Taking a cue from what we find on Sorna, you can hide feeders from the player by forest canopy and from guests by placing forest thick enough to create thick foliage for an all-natural appearance; but this must be done in a way that a Jeep can still reach the feeder for resupply via a passage through the jungle hidden from guests.

-Generally placing unsightly buildings like the creation lab, power stations, or ranger/acu off to the side surrounded by forests will go a long way to make the whole park more asthetically pleasing. Except on Pena: then go ham on the military prison look.

Since the fence snuggle better along the buildable area of the map than buildings, I usually fence along the line, like 3/4 of the map easily. I tried to be rigid to my draft designs before building on a new island, but realized I was fighting lots with the terrain and building placement. So I fence around lots and then find where buildings go. Note on buildings; I always place my ACU heli pad facing the Creation lab release paddock, so when my dinos come out, they get darted in no time. I felt bad doing it to them in their first minute of freedom, but the show must go on.

I place all gates closest to the nearest ranger team so they don't have to drive all around for nothing through visitors.

My Matanceros enclosures are fairly round and fluid. Muerta is a little bit "whatever I could build with the space, more linear. Tacano is more zoolike divided. Pena is ugly I need to do it again with love and care. Sorna has "pockets" of buildings and paths throughout all the enclosures. Nublar is a dormant volcano concept; I raised the middle as high as possible, built the Innovation centre on top and enclosures and paddocks all around that. There is a river all around the central hill with islands here and there. All the enclosures form a kind of donut I guess, with gates in between all of them for endless feeder patrols.

Have fun with fencing!!

Idears

Don't know about las cincos muertes because I rushed them and created all messy parks but on my Isla nublar I have recreated the original tour with the original enclosures and my best advice from using the game is to keep the idears simple as long as they blend in with the environment and create a good atmosphere they should look incredible

hope it posts my picture but just as some people above had said it is really handy to have a back alley way for maintenance and dinos to use. I really want to have speakers like in the books that have mating calls and predator roars to attract/scare dinos down pathways where they need to go since sometimes it can be hard to get the dinos where they need to go if the enclosure is at the end of the line or if it is a slow dino.

Other ideas I hope I can use in the game in the future would be moats and deep rivers so you can see through without a fence blocking the view. I havent experimented with hills and ditches yet though...

I fixed the image link in your post.
Make sure you use the image link location in the IMG tags, they usually end with .jpg, or .png.

Here is something new I was trying in Nublar. The idea being that there is some kind of ditch to hide the fence between the guests and the dinos and to use hills to hide the rest. It looks nice but puts a lot of distance in between. Too bad they have made a "moat" of some sort like you would see at a zoo.

here is the view from the visitor path...

and then from above...

Here's an example of the swamp I was talking about. This is on Muerta so the lighting isn't ideal, but you'll get the idea.

Shot of the whole pen. Located it in the low headlands. I RP this in particular as brakish water: freshwater runnoff from the mountains mixed with saltwater that washes in during storms or higher-than-average tides.

Here's a look under the canopy.

The paddock currently houses Baryonx and Dilophosaurus, but all small and medium carnos except Carnotaurus get enough "grassland" while still maintaining a canopy with the trees **if the paddock is big enough**.
