Elite / Frontier Encounter with the thargoids

Just had a thought - You may need a military Drive to survive in Polaris. IIRC, part of the defences is energy-bomb placed and normal hyperdrives can't survive those.

The problem will be managing to get that far out.

I think that the problem must be the transmision Jamer, not the type of drive..., maybe. Im not sure...

What do you think?

You would need a military drive to travel that distance, a transmision jammer to block the military satellite from sending a signal back to INRA, and a nucular bomb to destroy the satellite because if you don't,
as soon as you leave the system the satellite sends the signal back to INRA and you get attacked constantly.

And as gunbladelad said, when doing the miackie mission to deliver mycoid the Thargoids give you a choice on taking the alien artifacts or a thargoid ship, you can then race back to a base and dock manually (as you dont have a autopilot) and sell all the alien artifacts.

Nope.

Sadly after you do the Thargoid Missions there isn't any more, If I remember correctly someone once looked at the code for the game and saw hints and bits of other missions which thanks to a certain publisher never got completed

You can still visit the systems though and the Thargoids are still there however.
