End Game Players Need Some Material

As much as I am enjoying the new exploration, mining changes, and the Krait Phantom its time end game players get some material.

Either we need new advanced large ships (looking at the King and Admiral rank) or we need real player expansions into the galaxy.

I mean the ability to build planetary bases, outposts, installations and megaships (or fleet carriers), even a structure that is not the size of a starport but larger than a outpost (to house large ships).

In game terms and economy the engineers maybe make as much money as a commander and they have their own planetary bases. A commander with a few billion should be able to achieve the same thing. Even if we were only allowed to purchase already built planetary bases and outposts that would leave thousands and thousands in the game untouched. On the other hand, if we were all forced into owning the same planetary model but allowed to place it nearly anywhere on any land-able planet would a massive step forward.

The FSS is your end of game. You have the entire galaxy, enough to last forever go explore it :p

Yeah that is true for a lot of players but not everyone. The best way to expand player base is to create game play or features come with advanced play. As great as the FSS is its just lazy to say "Hey go explore now. That's all we have for you". The game needs to expand past this base level exploration and really make exploration important and connected to other play (As they have with exploration and mining), it just needs to go further.

Fair play to you. The game crys out for base building. Its a simple, easily copied feature from other games way to introduce hours of easy on the devs content. That would last and last and last. As i said in another thread dredgers! There is definatly space for a large scale trade/cargo transporter but the coriolis slotsize i would imagine is causing issues with ships any larger than what we have.

It would be nice if after you've reached King or Admiral something would be awarded.

A refit for the Cutter and the Corvette maybe? A bit more agility for the Cutter and dump the Corvette class 1 hardpoints for 2s or one 3.

Won't hold my breath for it though.:rolleyes:
