Couple days ago, I spoke with a volunteer community moderator on this "leak", and they were able to determine it was fake and just mere tolling, and stuff which I've always known about JWE and its associated companies since forever, saying interesting details (including Steggs whereabouts) that contradicts what this "leak" from days ago was talking about in a business point of view.

JWE support will sooner or later come to an end, there is no denying nor stopping that. I do not know if that leak is true or not, so it is hard to see if such a plan is in action.
But like how others have mentioned, the game will still be supported and that itself makes me pretty contempt. JWE has turned into a fun game but it desperately needs the polish to get all the bugs and remaining lack of QOL out of the way, a means to improve what we already have instead of adding more without working on the foundation of the game. I do hope that the implementation of escapes, extra combat , and non-violent interaction will still be considered for JWE 2020 plan. JWE 2 could have a lot of proposed content and hopefully a more utilized engine to make the experience a whole lot fresher if it were to happen, so cutting content in order to make the experience newer feels a bit off, especially if it is content that is possible in the current JWE engine.
This does bring up some questions in what the DLC are going to be. What would 2020 bring? And how would the transition from JWE 1 be to JWE 2? I still think JWE would have support this year but it will be safer to assume that it won't be as impactful as 2019. Then again, I am happy to be wrong on this Frontier!

As someone who has been using 4chan on a daily basis for years now I am aware of that, however JWE isnt popular enough for people to make troll posts. People are too busy making on smash and other popular games. The only time I ever see a JWE thread up is when its one of the leaks (which have been waaay too accurate) or a thread I made which never gets many posts (because no one on that site is interested in JWE).

This game sold pretty well. I think it's pretty popular.
I purchased all the DLCs with severe discounts.
Main game + Secrets for $30 AUD was pretty good deal to me.
Now I'm waiting for RTJP to drop in price.
Easter sale probably.
I like the game, I felt a bit gutted too when I saw there is unlikely to get more content for it. But it's still a good game and I have my fun playing it.

One leak among dozens isn't "every JWE DLC leak." Furthermore, the one leak that did prove to be accurate said nothing about giving up on JWE at this point. And of course, the nature of 4chan is such that there is no garuntee that the source of the current "leak" is the same as the one that proved accurate.
They did a pretty good job with the game once we got rtjp. Aside from wanting better escapes from the pteranadon.
Only other things I'd like added are raptors climbing fences and more killing fight animations. Then maybe the mosa lagoon and paint brushes for water and of course the shale paint on nublar sandbox.
