End of the Road

Thanks, Arch3rAc3 - that's a lovely piece of music. Very evocative!

Glad you enjoyed it - it was nerve-wracking at the time, though . . .

I am still pottering (very slowly) back from Beagle Point so if you are out that way, send me a friend's request and see if we can meet up. I rarely get the chance to play at the moment due to RL, though, but that will be changing next week.

'Tribute' thread? Next will be a band and a tour, no doubt!

I'm currently in the core and will be heading to Jaques by the pretty route, but I'll certainly send off the friend request. It's nice to see the odd green flag out there :)

...except I can't seem to find "Macedonica"...hmmm.

I took a few (er... many) months off from Elite, so I missed this when it was happening. But... wow. Just wow. I've read and enjoyed novels that were less gripping than this tale. Obviously late to the party here, but I now know to bring a mining laser along with my towel, lest I get stuck without germanium somewhere. :)

Also, it reinforces my desire to get my nose pointed outwards towards the unexplored. Fire up the Asp, Betty.... we're going scanning.

Kudos to you both!

See you out in the black, daver4470 - and yes the mining laser is now a standard feature on deep exploration vessels, apparently!

Like many others, this thread has been an inspiration for me. It's been like watching a good movie.

My most sincere congratulations to the two heroes.

Greetings.

Well - it's official:
