Engineer Bases look awesome!

+1!

Love the variety, both in the visuals, the layout and the required approach. Plus, the nice thing about it is - since the bases are so obviously hand-crafted to the location; they can't copy 'n' paste this engineer base to other locations. Each one will have to be unique, surely.

Hmm - I suspect they are PG, it's just that someone has likely increased the rules by which they are placed. It would be interesting to hear an answer from the devs.

Also really like the really big rocks we can see here. Hopefully these can find their way into the general PG rock system for added variation. :)

Yeah, looking really nice ;)

Noticed also some rocky variation in the ground texture in one of last weeks shots (noticeable mostly in the cavities), which I haven't seen before.

Pretty excited for 2.1 and the various graphical improvements, variations in radio docking chatter, etc.

It's certainly possible, but I'd doubt it. If there are only ~30 Engineers it'd surely be quicker to just hand-place standard items like the domes and landing piers on select locations on PG terrain, rather than code the game to procedurally place them and handle all the clipping and/or gaps that would likely occur.

It would be good to know though. If they are procedurally generated, it opens up the possibility of lots of more varied installations in the game, not just the limited number of Engineers bases.
