Engineer Suggestion - Mining Lasers

This is just a suggestion, but can you have your devs look into having an Engineer to modify Mining Lasers to be more efficient and produce more material when mining. Similar to the way you already have the prospecting limits yield more when you use them than you do without using them.
 
Good idea. Though any upgrades for mining lasers would be an improvement.

My suggestions:
  • Lightweight - though this upgrade is useless to miners, however it would be great for explorers
  • High power - faster mining
  • Precision - higher ore yield per fragment
  • Ore only - more ore fragments, but fewer material fragments
  • High material yield - fewer ore fragments, but more material fragments per roid

But I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for engineer upgrades that are any use to mining. Looking at the useless refinery, collector and prospector upgrades we already have, all we will be getting will be lightweight and sturdy upgrades.
 
I want to mod the Mining Lances efficient, they run so hot. Yes, please, mining laser mods. And give them to Qwent, so that the guy is finally useful and not just an obstacle on the way to Palin.
