Trying to G5 a multicannon.

I've completed all lower upgrades but Tod McQuinn won't allow me the Grade 5 upgrade. Its grayed out and padlocked still.

To craft higher grade blueprints you need enough engineer reputation, and to have completed all lower grade blueprints of the same type.

That's the message I'm getting from the screen. How then can I open G5 when G4 and all other levels of the upgrade are complete?
Any ideas anyone?

Toddy boy defo does the G5 multi so I'm completely stumped as to how I find a workaround here.

Are you at his base? Remote engineering won't let you rank up reputation with him...

If you don't have a second multicannon to work on, you can alternatively hand him in bounty vouchers from his system or from systems where the controlling minor faction is alliance aligned.

As Ettanin said, I would recommend engineering an extra multicannon.

I've just arrived and spotted I'm only at grade 4 access.

I was remote engineering.
