Engineering Pacifiers?

They are 100% worth it if you already like frags.
However, you might wanna get good with fixed frags as the Pacifiers only come in fixed.
It's easy for you guys to say this, you fly vultures, the ONLY platform that suits Pacifiers better than a regular gimballed large frag. Encouraging others to use fixed frags (normal especially) is to simply make the game more difficult for no reason. Gimballed frags allow you to hit and not be hit, as you can hit while flying off axis, very important for larger medium ships. Additionally, they are not really affected much by chaff, as you fire them within 600m anyway. The additional shot speed and tighter spread of Pacifiers is useful ONLY if you are faster and more maneuverable than your opponent (due to their fixed nature), which isn't always guaranteed even in a vulture.

Bottom line, yes, they're a good weapon, yes, they're fun to use, but the skill requirement to use them well is sky high, and even the best pilots would get better performance out of (for example) three large gimballed frags on a Krait, than 3 Pacifiers. That makes them a gameplay choice rather than something to recommend universally.

But they're FUN
and that's all I care about
I suck at maths anyway, that's for nerds
I accidentally included a post I had earlier abandoned, because I didn't feel able to express in a satisfactory way that folks would understand, why overcharged is better. I'll reserve any judgment on that point for now, I like to be able to prove my stuff, sorry for the misleading post. ;)

I just went the OC + Screening route. I played around with a few other mods on some regular frags - high capacity isn't bad since you get twice as many shots between reloads, but since I was doing it on a vulture, messing around with experimental effects like drag and corrosive ate too much into the raw "just wreck this guy" power of plain old OC, and having twice as many shots isn't a huge benefit when it takes nearly twice as many to kill them.

Plus circlestrafing someone and shotgunning them to death makes me feel like doomguy.

Incase y'all missed it, I posted a PvP fragaconda on page one. It's post #9

Oops! I think I did. Very nice.
