Entering detailed scanner mode - where on the options menu?

That is even worse because I can't find any reason why I can't send any probes or go to dss mode as I have seen on many videos on YouTube. DSS I set for the 2nd fire button, and because in supercruise I can't deploy any hard points that make it simple. I press the fire button and blue lines appear, but there is nothing about DSS, and no way to send any probes.

Try setting it on primary fire, I always find that more reliable.

I'm having the same problem with entering DSS mode. I have DSS scaner, it is set to the fire group. I am traveling in supercruse with low speed in few ls away form the rings. When I try to go to DSS mode (I am in analys mode not combat) instead to DSS I am in FSS mode. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. In the settings menu there is only "Exit mode". Any ideas?

Maybe you have set 'enter fss' (or 'switch to fss' or whatever it's called) to the fire button, too!?

Ok, I found the problem.. The problem was with fire groups. Obviously I did try this before without luck, but somehow it work this time. Also I changed button for swap fire groups. Anyway it's working now. Thanks for help.
