Errand of Mercy - Plague/Epidemic at ELEU System! - New Mission Type to Try

" Security Support Needed For Cerberus Plague Intervention "

Cerberus? Seriously?! Mass Effect?

I hate Cerberus, the only thing they did good was EDI... wow, just.....wow..

Just made my way over to Eleu, and seen 3 commanders already, which is 3 more than I have seen for the last 3 weeks!

Pirates are few and far between, only 3 winged Sidewinders so far, they didn't last long. So may have to buy type 6 until things warm up a little.

So guess what? I just encountered my first player in a long time, and you know what? He tried to blow me up,... in the station... with 100 tons of basic medical supplies, lol. Guess some people just want to see the world burn. Oh well, to solo to do the objective I guess. He was in a Vulture, and literally just attacked me while I was in auto-docking. Pretty ballsy. He was probably killed by station security, but I didn't stick around long enough to see. or at least I hope... I would name him, but naming and shaming, you know. Just be warned, there is a Vulture in ELEU killing defenseless traders. Real shame, I was excited to finally see another player in so long.

I warned that other guy that was threatening to screw with haulers trying to complete this objective that all we are going to do is go into SOLO mode and leave you to grief someone else. ;) Why don't these guys put their aggression to good use and sign up for the COMBAT side of this special mission instead of shooting at other real players INSIDE the station? What a ish move that was!

I'm already back in SOLO mode after hearing that story. I don't have time for such uncool nonsense.

Pirates/Murders will always show up at CG's for profit/lolz. I recommend trying to recruit some BH's/White Knights to run security in the system. Maybe find some combat escorts for the trade ships. As much as you may not like it, this is part of the game. It is tempting to go to solo but it is so more satisfying turning the table on them.

Good luck CMDR's

Don't have a problem within the proper confines of the game mechanics, but spawn camping people inside the station? That is too GTA5 lame for me.

I have only just begun the game but if this is still ongoing and i can get on later i might join in the drops. Not sure yet, i have only got a basically equipped sidewinder (yes i am that new to dangerous)

We still have over 3 days to reach one of the Tiers, so do whatever you can. And if not, I am sure there will be others like this down the road. This is the first one of these events I have seen in the Preview though. Don't know if there were others I missed, but I do check GalNet regularly and never saw a reference to such a group mission objective like this before on the XB1.

On route in a maxed vulture if someone wants to wing up. NO TO PIRATES

My hat is off to you my friend! :) Good job! :)

Not sure if you guys have seen this but I found this yesterday and thought you may be interested:

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=113495&highlight=community+goals

Looks like there is also a Disease in 20 Ophiuchi and Dajoar. These are community Goals and rewards in the past have ranged from a 15% discount on a Clipper to a 20% discount no the Asp to various discounts on specific commodities and space station services. It is worth it to the entire community to assist with these. Not to mention the individual rewards: for example here is the summary of the community goal that dropped the price of the Clipper:

Description:
In recognition of the well intended efforts of Aisling's Angels, the Princess Lavigny-Duval has issued a request asking that all members of her fleet position themselves to protect the Angels from pirates looking to interfere wit their efforts.

Imperial pilots willing to lend their combat prowess to the cause are asked to patrol all local systems, not just Persephone, in order to ensure that an adequate level of security coverage has been arranged to properly protect traders and relief staff as they ship medicine throughout the area.

Result:
Imperial security agents have been successful in their attempts to secure the spaceways around Persephone. As a result, Aisling's Angels have had a much easier time of delivering medicines to the people of Quivira.

In honour of their combined efforts, and to thanks those who sacrificed their time in service to the house of Duval, the Princesses will be offering a 15% subsidy on all Imperial Couriers purchased from Baker Terminal in Achenar.

System: Persephone
Station: Lambardelli’s Legacy
Objective: Hand in Imperial Bounty Vouchers to Lambardelli’s Legacy
How: Kill wanted ships in Empire systems
Ended: 30 May 3301 00:00

Total Contributors: 4860
Final Global Progress: 24,015,552,910 Credits Earned
Final Reward Tier: Tier 5
Final Global Reward: Criminal Activity Contained. Imperial Courier Discount (15%) Baker Terminal, Achenar.

Final Participation Rewards:
Top 5%: 20,000,000 Cr + global awards
Top 15%: 12,000,000 Cr + global awards
Top 40%: 6,000,000 Cr + global awards
Top 70%: 3,000,000 Cr + global awards
Top 100%: 100,000 Cr + global awards

Thats some pretty awesome rewards! But look at the number of contributors it took to reach that result! I have no idea how many XB1 preview players we even have total. Right now the hauling mission has 62 people doing it. Compare that with the 4860 people above. I wonder if these scale based on the number of players in the version?

Would be nice to know if we even have a shot at reaching any of the tiers? I'm going to continue to bring medicines there, and see what happens. Its not like I am losing money doing this. I could obviously make a lot more doing my normal RARE item route, but I am making a little profit, and besides, profit isn't what this is supposed to be about if you want to get behind the in-game reasons to be doing this.

Agreed, its not about the profit but if you dangle a reward like 20 Million in front of people we may get some more support.
I'm not a hauler myself but will be heading that way this evening to get in on the combat side of it. Got to give my new Vulture a work out and see if its worth the 400,000 credit insurance tag.

We are headed there, 2 T9's with escorts. We'll do what we can.
