Error Orange Sidewinder since last maintenance

Hi,

New CMDR here since last week, everything worked fine and not able to login since yesterday. I got the same error: Orange Sidewinder. I can login, but when selecting a game mode (solo mode, trainings) it takes forever to load and then shows the error message.

I tried about everything:
  1. PC reboot
  2. router reboot (incl. hard reset)
  3. Different wireless networks
  4. Switching to Ethernet
  5. Completely disabling the Defender firewall
  6. Driver update(s)
  7. Account logout (both ED and steam, incl. downloads cache reset)
  8. Logging into Horizons and back to Odyssey (get the same error in both)
  9. Logging into Horizons and starting the on foot training (which does not load)
  10. Using the stuck/relocation function in the Help menu
  11. File verification (both on steam and in the launcher)
  12. Changing PermitNativeDoubles to False in AppConfig (found somewhere while googling the error code)
  13. Reinstall of ED in Steam
I'm lost, just got my HOTAS delivered and dying to try it out! My guess it has to do with the update from May 1st?
in my case it was solved with option 11&10, it was probably only option 10
after logging in I could not get close to a friend's FC, when I tried to land in it gave an error. In my FC no problems.

Possible useful info:
OS: Win10, fully patched
Location: Netherlands (ISP: Ziggo)

Looking at the logs i see api.orerve.net is not accessible (500 internal server error)?

May not be relevant, but i had no issues with logging in via Frontier Launcher, but got orange sidewinder when logging in via Steam (get to main menu, and it tried to load whether select open or solo or group but then failed), ever since the update UNTIL yesterday after the usual maintenance, and then the steam launcher also worked.

Tried this also, same error. However i require Steam as i play in VR.

I am on steamdeck which uses steamOS and I don't have a keyboard for it :(
 
I was getting orange sidewinder error on loading in with the spinning ship.
I uninstalled from my steamdeck reinstalled and now on menu press play it waits a few seconds then nothing.

I checked the files and it came back with "incorrect manifest checksum"

This appears to be affected many people, myself included.
 
I did today few relogs without any problem. Now any account on steam won't log in. I think FDev works.
So... I will wait with patience. Finger crossed.

I know, it is new udpadte you can "Play" a lot :))))

yeah I noticed a few are having it but figure the more who post the more likely FD will give us some updates
the frustrating thing is the menu still says the server status is good. clearly it isn't for a lot of us it would be nice to have a message on log in otherwise what is the point of a server status info bar?
 
So now that the launcher fiasco in addition is also over ... i was able to enter the game without the orange sidewinder error. Yay. My suspicion is that it was somehow related to the colonization ship i was docked at before wednesday. And just to be sure i will now exit the game in space for a while instead of any stations.
 
This morning i deleted my temporary internet files and was able to start in solo mode without issues. I dont know if this was the fix or the devs worked all night to get it fixed in the backend? But it is working again! Now to study all day on the HOTAS bindings....
