since nobody in the thread has pointed it out yet - even if the exclusion zone line doesn't appear on your HUD, the zone is still shown as a red sphere with white rings on your scanner. I usually rely on that rather than the HUD to tell me if I'm getting too close around neutrons and white dwarfs.

I never knew this. And I've FSD boosted from hundreds of these things. Thank you. Very interesting.
