Essential Central American and Caribbean animal wishlist

Just noticed that my black-headed spider monkey (Ateles fusciceps) vote was rejected, but these guys are also found in Panama.

I did put a lot of research into my list before posting, to make sure every species I voted for is present in Central America. I had to after all the talk we had about what constitutes Central American and what does not haha! Didn't want to look like a fool after that! :)
I added to the wishlist, so thank you for your comment! :)

At now I have many times, so I updated the wishlist.

The Ocelot still leading, but I added groups (Macaw, Toucan, Spider monkey, Howler monkey) that contain several species and the any species category, that some users wrote.

No breakdown for squirrel monkey? oh and agouti!

I asked since both agouti and squirrel monkey received some direct and "any species from the region" votes.
I'll fix it! Among Squirrel monkeys the Central American are the only native species in the region, but there are more Agouti species in Central America, so the latter should be a group.

Got "invited" in here, I don't know that many CA animals so I'll just look up and choose...

So you don't want any Neotropical animal in the game?

Also, this is the wishlist about the Central American animals, not South Americans, but of course, the animals native to Central and South America are also allowed.

Here is my list in no particular order:
  • Any Macaw - A walk-in aviary with several species of Macaw or other large parrots would be ideal.
  • Any Toucan
  • Occelated Turkey (NT)
  • Roseate Spoonbill (LC)
  • Central American Pygmy Owl (LC) - I’d be happy with any owl
  • King Vulture (LC)
  • Jabiru Stork (LC)
  • Virginia Opossum (LC) - Would add another NA animal and is NA only marsupial but I'd take any Opossum at this point.
  • Common Tapeti (EN) - Would an a Lagomorph to the game, enabling modes to create many other species. It's listed as Endangered unlike the Eastern Cottontail (LC), who is also a solid choice.
  • White-Tailed Deer (LC) - I just love these guys + it'd add another NA animal and where I am from they are a common food source. It would be cool to add another topic to the conservation boards with this one on "Population Management"
  • White-Nosed Coati (LC)
  • Cane Toad (LC) - We have him on the Invasive Species Wanted Poster, mine as well have him in game.
  • Red Footed Tortoise (Not Evaluated)
  • Eyelash Viper (LC)
  • Red-Bellied Piranha (Not Evaluated) - We already have Exhibits half filled with water, so just fill one all the way and add these guys in. Tank size is recommended at 40 gallon per fish with a minimum group of 4 or more. An Exhibit calculates to about 420 gallons so could easily house a school of 10 with 20 gallons to spare for decor. - Opps! look like these guys are more South America than Central - Sorry!
  • Central American River Turtle (CR)
  • Black-Bellied Whistling Duck (LC)
  • Central American Squirrel Monkey (EN)
  • Plumed Basilisk (LC)
  • Whitelined Toadfish (VU) - Endemic to the coral reefs of Belize. They get about a foot long (31cm). I couldn’t find much on these guys in particular but in general Toadfish are commonly kept in aquariums and are very hardy. Tank size is recommended at 75 gallons for an individual. So I’d say about 4 could fit in an Exhibit.
