Don't worry dude! I will make a thread about the Amazonian/South American wildlife, but this thread is about the Central American animals. So, I don't allow exclusively South American species. Sorry!

Also, Central America have some cool animals, which are would be great in the PZ, and Costa Rica is one of my favourite foregin countries. "Pura vida"! 😀

I’ve been to Puerto Rico once, and where I am going to school there is a lot of Puerto Ricans. When I tried to think of endemic Caribbean wildlife the coquí frog and the Puerto Rican parrot where the first to come to mind. I also added the cayman blue iguana, mountain chicken, American flamingo, and brown pelicans. I ran out of space to do the Cuban desmond or Cuban crocodile. Also I couldn’t add any fish to my list, unfortunately I think it’s likely we can see flying birds in game but I don’t know about fish :/

And this is why I think local wildlife matters in this game, someone will care about an animal even if you don’t use it. I’m from New England so I’ve always wanted the American black bear, white tailed deer, corn snake, great horned owl, red tailed hawk, coyote etc. I think it helps that most of my “backyard animals” are actually found across the whole continent.

Some of my more unique choices that will 100% not get in game are animals like the North American porcupine, spring peeper, barred owl, common loon, or any songbird :/

Glad you finally included Caribbean animals and gave us additional votes to spare!

21) Cuban hutia (has a surprisingly large presence in zoo collections)
22) Hispaniolan solenodon (a venomous endemic Caribbean mammal)
23) Scarlet ibis (found in Margarita Island and the Netherlands Antilles)
24) Cuban amazon
25) Green sea turtle

That's a strictly North American animal, mate. You might want to change it for something else, if you want all your choices to be accepted.

Also, the vote number of the Amazons, Crocodiles and Hummingbirds are significantly increased, since I allowed the submit Caribbean species.

There isn't much left until the release of the summer DLC, but let's continue with the votes and those who voted so far can describe +5 Central American or Caribbean animals if they want!

3. Northern Bahamian Rock Iguana: It has 3 Subspecies; Andros Island, Exuma Island and Allen Cays. As far as I know, Exuma Island Rock Iguana is the most common in Captivity, but you prefer Full-Species Ranks anyway.
