Although in the wild the Hawaiian Goose, also called Nēnē, lives on lava fields, in zoos it is kept together with other water birds, and there are many pictures of it swimming in the water in zoo enclosures. However, if it turns out to be a problematic species, an alternative is the Red-breasted Goose.
