Since the biodiversity of Oceania is poorer than Central America.
It certainly isn't poorer than Europe though (in fact the opposite is true).

Regardless, here's my list. Kept flying birds out of it for now as there's still more than enough to fill out a wishlist of 15 species without them making things even harder.
  1. Short-beaked Echidna - Australia, New Guinea
  2. Tasmanian Devil - Australia
  3. Spotted-tailed Quoll - Australia
  4. Greater Bilby - Australia
  5. Long-nosed Potoroo - Australia

  7. Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby - Australia
  8. North Island Brown Kiwi - New Zealand

That about covers it for me. I could go more overboard with the flying birds, but I won't.

K let's go

There's no much of the Oceanian ones I would accept Planet Zoo to have. Well, here's mine.
  1. Quokka
  2. Arowana (if that'll be there, Exhibit?)
  3. Either perentie or lace monitor
  4. Echidna (I thought Planet Zoo would have enough Australians until more like wombat, platypus, one wallaby species and emu happened.)

Since the biodiversity of Oceania is poorer than Central America.

It is definitely more diverse than Europe and probably on par with or even more diverse than Central America. I think you should consider increasing it to at least 20. New Guinea alone is a biodiversity hotspot.

1. Tasmanian devil
2. Quokka
3. Short-beaked echidna
4. Common brushtail possum
5. Matschie's tree-kangaroo
6. Eastern quoll
7. Frilled lizard
8. Central bearded dragon
9. Monster mantis
10. Giant prickly stick insect
11. Sugar glider
12. Kowari
13. Cockatoo, any
14. King quail
15. Magpie goose
16. Australian pelican
17. Black swan
18. North Island brown kiwi
19. South Island takahe
20. Little blue penguin

Even with 20 spots I had to leave some iconic species out... I'd say 25 is ideal.

Apologies to perentie, thorny devil, numbat, kea, kookaburra and others. I don't think you'll get many votes for Polynesian and Micronesian animals with such limited spots.

I think this IUCN Red List search should put things into perspective:

To clarify, Mesoamerica includes North American animals from Mexico, while Australasia is separate from Indo-Malay (South and Southeast Asia).

Yes, Oceania have a rich biodiversity, but there are not many megafauna species, since they are extinct, but I will be increase the maximum animal number as 20.
