So Gnosi. You got a lot of for that one FD. Even I had my complaints, but only because, with all the bugs, early galnet article and over all poor execution, you really botched it. Then again you don't really have much experience in running these sorts of events. So here is idea.
Get a number of people equal to ammount, you had working on the gnosis event + one tester and put them in charge on creating small scale custom event with current assets. If I'm correct, Gnosis was done within a month and that only turned out half bad. With another month, that one could have become really good I believe. Therefore let them work on stuff on a bi-monthly basis.
Mind you, this shouldn't be big stuff on the narrative and only use what is in the game. I give you a few examples:
I could go on, but I hope you get the idea. Write 1-2 galnet articles in the week leading up the event and use the feedback to get better at dynamic event, to engage with your playerbase and suprise them with "new" stuff.
Bonus: Once you got the hang of the internal process, get a few communties involved. That latest Sagittarius Eye story line would have been so dope, if people could have interacted with it in game.

- Take a station. Put it into the destroyed mode, without the visuals, but with evacuation requests and stuff like that in place. Put 2 capital ships close to the mail slot, so that people flying in under attack and flag the entire area as a warzone. Write a little piece about an escelating conflict around a high stakes starport, becaue of some rare comodity emerging there and boom, done.^
- Put a megsahip/instellation with ecape pod hatches under attack, by pirates/space bugs, with a rescue ship close by.
- Place a type 9 wreck on a planet with a lot of pirates/security personal buzzing over head and like 100-200 units of panite scattered on the ground as illegal salvage and let people figure out a way to grab it.
- I don't know if you can code AI like that in ED, but make a Human Player scuttle around as cpatian of a pirate wing of a dozen NPC in full upgrade combat ships, to have players hunt them down, as they carry a very valuable unique comodity around in anarchy space.
