So nobody won the bet, right?

I think nobody made this exact prediction, no. The fallow deer threw us all off, and those who went for the fallow did not get the other species correct. Correct me if I'm wrong! Winners of the bet, make yourself known!

I looked through all the posts. Nobody has the exact species correct. There were some posts with the correct four other animals but just wrote deer which perhaps are the closest and some in which the fifth animal was the red deer.

Love the European Fallow Deer, I hope they will be as cute as in real life !!

I'm a bit more worried about the new building pieces which don't look very homogeneous, but... let's see !

I was recently attacked, as in it charged me and bumped my shin and I fell over, by a muntjacs deer in the U.K.
I didn’t know what the heck it was, but it looked like it should be in a zoo. Aparently they have escaped from a safari park and now they live in the wild in England. It looked like a dik-dik, which is the best deer, I would love one in the game. Isn’t it beautiful.

I have just seen this Post now. Dik Diks are also under my top 3 of most wanted animals. But unfortunately I somehow doubt we will get one :/. For me they are also so cute animals. But I must correct you a bit, sry . They are antelopes, no deers (whereas the muntjac is a deer).

Well they don't exclusively copy first five picks from the list everytime, that would be boring. They definitely pay close attention to the list given majority of picks for species since the list became relevant, but still keep surprising with some choices of their own, which is one of the great parts of every upcoming pack

No, nobody was exactly correct. But I would not say that they are not looking at the Meta wishlist. I mean we got such a Lot animals from that until now. We should some times respect that they can also decide for another animal than us because perhaps they like it more or whatever.

And again, just because an animal isn't chosen, doesn't mean it won't be in the game at all

A river otter, the wolverine, and the wild boar and the red deer can still come in a future DLC. Perhaps Continental Asia, or Temperate forests, or Wetlands.

A perfect Continental Asia animal pack for example: Przewalski horse, red deer, wild boar, Amur leopard, wolverine, saiga, takin, + exhibit animal.

I still think we will see a general Asia pack, so I must say, this would be one of the worst lineups for me. Even tough we've got a SEA DLC, West (special the Arabian peninsula) and South Asian representation would be almost non-existant.

I didn't do the guessing, but I wondered why few people thought Fallow Deer were likely. They're such interesting and unique looking deer with those palmate antlers and persistent spotting on adults. And the ibex will be cool. I hope we can build habitats where it will climb rocks. That's something I've felt is missing from the Dall sheep, which never seems to do that in the habitats I've made for it. The lynx looks pretty too. Looks like most folks were right on with the fire salamander for the exhibit animal. It will be nice to have an amphibian that isn't a frog in the game. But so sad that there's no Sheltopusik

I was more "meh" about the badgers, though European badgers are pretty cute and not actually close relatives of North American badgers at all (unlike the wolverine, which are just different subspecies in Europe vs North America). So they are pretty unique and iconic animals. But they said something about being able to watch it in its burrow. I assume this means you can have a glass barrier up against dirt, and the badger will burrow down next to it so people can see in? I've seen this sort of thing in real zoos with burrowing species, and I wish they'd done it with the meerkat, prairie dog, aardvark etc. So the badger may be fun.

I didn't take arabian animals into account because I fully expect a desert DLC as well.

What are cool South Asian animals we don't have yet according to you? Because south Asia is already represented by animals like the dhole, indian rhino, peafowl, bengal tiger, just to name a few.

Blackbuck is a must-have for India. There is also the nilgai, lion-tailed macaque, gaur, grey langur, possibly the Indian leopard if we don't get the Amur, the Indian grey mongoose, Indian cobra, king cobra, emperor scorpion, and so on. South Asia still has a lot to offer. If you push it further there are a bunch of Himalayan animals we could still get - the Pallas cat, Tibetan yak, markhor.

So then an Indian animal pack would be nice that could exist easily next to a Eurasian / north Asia animal pack. Which is the area I meant when I say Continental Asia.

I would attach Himalaya animals to north Asia, as they are also animals made for colder weather / taiga, temperate, and tundra biomes. The India subcontinent is very different in terms of wildlife compared to the rest of Asia.

I wondered about this too but I’m not sure this will be possible to be honest. I think they said it will be viewable via a camera and screen.

Altough it's more SEA, I still think se need a Gibbon, the ASCO also occurs in India. Some Indian monkeys, antelopes and a Gaur would be really nice too.

Then que would need to do the same with other continents too, and I don't really belive we will get support for such a long time.
