Eurozoo

Unlike the previous areas of the Eurozoo, the Boreal Forest won't have large architectural features and it will be mostly a stroll through the forest of pines and birches. This will be the most natural part of the park, and to be honest, most of the animals here are popular enough to not need any extras around them.

We don't have a lot of choice for boreal exhibits, so I decided to use the skink as the viviparous lizard:

You might have already noticed the wood cabins with the grassy roofs. They work as observation areas for the Eurasian lynx enclosure. The habitat has 2 sides with climbing structures for these beautiful cats.

We continue touring the Boreal Forest and we find some wolverines. As usually in this park, the habitat for these carnivorous animals is divided in two sides and has multiple viewing points. The habitat is very natural, with different terrain elevations so that these fierce but cute animals can live nicely.

Another fan favourite animal lives now in the Boreal Forest: the iconic brown bear! They have a large natural habitat with water and hills. There are two sides in the enclosure to separate the animals (although in European zoos we find quite often several brown bears living together).

This is the main side of the enclosure:

And the secondary side:

You can see the bears quite close from either a glass area or from the Bear grotto:

Last but not least, an overview of this enclosure:

The last inhabitants of the Boreal Forest have arrived, and this time they are not predators. However, thanks to their huge size, they are still very attractive animals. Of course, I'm talking about the moose! The habitat is simple, with a waterfall and small pond. There is a small picnic area next to it from where the animals can be seen too.

Here's an overview of the Boreal Forest area. I think I managed to create the forest vibes I wanted and this part of the zoo differs from the other areas where there are more architectural features.

Also, here's an overview of the whole Eurozoo so far. Making the areas so different from each other is keeping my interest and enjoyment with this project.

I guess the central area is for the Alpine and Temperate areas, right? But don't forget the parking lot 😝

I will see it! 🥺

When I started planning the Eurozoo months ago, I wanted to include a farm area, but I didn't know what style to choose. I wanted this part to look different to the other areas of the park, but a traditional European farm wouldn't look anything special. Then one day @Fini shared a pic of her autumn zoo and I suddenly got the inspiration I needed. So, without further ado, welcome to Mr Foxy's Magical Farm!

You might remember that Mr Foxy is the mascot of the Eurozoo and that there's a game about looking for him all over the park. However, he also has its own farm. Be warned, this area is going to be very colorfoul, full of giant flowers, magical mushrooms and many references to classic European tales. This is something I've never done before and I'm having a lot of fun.

The first habitat is for the donkeys. This is probably the simplest habitat in the farm since it's right at the entrance. The farm is going to grow many apple trees too.

For the next episode, you should bring a helmet...

Today we continue our vist to Mr Foxy's Magical Farm in the Eurozoo, so let's go visit some little chicken, shall we? But beware, the sky is falling!

Cute, but you reminded me of Disney's Chicken Little, and that movie makes me want to drink bleach, joking aside great idea and build, but if any of y'all have seen Chicken Little then you understand my pain (I will be honest the movie is more funny bad then bad bad to me but I just had to do this joke).

Chicken little is one of those childhood movies you don't want to watch when you understand what a good film is. Good at the time but didn't age well.

Exactly. This area of the zoo is themed to different European tales. The Chicken Little movie is based on the Henny Penny tale, which I think is a British tale. I got inspiration from this movie for the hexagonal panels falling from the sky.
